Does anybody know of someone that works for or has worked with a company that does custom promotion designs? This includes embroidered shirts, hats, printed coasters, coozies, pens, pencils, etc etc.
I'm looking to start having some of that stuff made with my logo, and the research for a decent company has been daunting! I'd also like to help out someone's company if that person works for them or possibly help them out if they are a local company.
Additionally - are there types of items you wish you saw on a vendor's table that is never seemingly available for sale? I think a lot of the time you don't want a huge logo of the company ("free" promotion). What if it had a cool design and then I just had a small footprint on it (perhaps just the text paperorplasticsports.com on it) - any thoughts on what you would want to see? Examples would be what was mentioned above along with towels, visors, stickers, etc.
Much appreciated!
Scott
Hmm.... the club uses Toucan Golf (http://www.toucangolf.com) for tags and pencils. Perhaps Terry Miller could chime in as I know he gets all sorts of stuff done for his company...
There is an Am Master from Springfield, Illinois, who has a custom embroidering business. Let me check the PDGA tour stats to see if I can find his name...
Brad Dow, PDGA 17139 (http://www.pdga.com/tournament/playerstats.php?PDGANum=17139&year=2007)
His bag is all custom embroidered; it looks really gay. ::) I asked him a question about one of his bag tats and he said he was in the custom embroidery business so he has samples on his bag.
Zaba says this is his contact information:
BRADLEY DOW
2412 WHITTIER AVE
SPRINGFIELD, IL 62704

I believe that Dan Burton does the work for Terry Miller.
His email is sxigh13@gmail.com if u want to drop him a line.
Can coolers would be cool to see for sale at a tourney as well as some score beads. I used to see them all the time, but now I can never find them.
Lakeshore Screenprinting and Embroidery (http://www.lakeshorscreenprinting.com)
They are the people that do Brutal Wear Disc Golf apparel. Anyone who played the Prairie Open this year recieved one of their window clings. They also provided the towels at last year's Prairie Open. They have been a long time supporter of the Manitowalk in the Park event in Manitowoc, WI.
I don't think any disc golf gear is on his website, though.
Great people to work with and supporters of disc golf.
Ask to speak to Craig and let him know Sergio sent you...not that I get any royalties.
Serg - I cleaned up some extraneous stuff around your URL link that made it broken.
Thanks all for the help, and thanks Aaron for the suggestions. This will help give me a good start.
Does anybody else have some suggestions for stuff they wished they saw on a merch table? I'm sure that at some point you're sick of having to use your brass/funny money for yay... more discs that I don't need. I know that the special dyes that Bruce had were pretty popular, but is there anything that you were thinking "man, I wish he had some of these". Some that I have already thought about are the quick-dry tees, maybe some polos, more disc bag selection, wristbands? headbands?
