Title: New October Innova Release
Post by: ParkerJ152 on October 01, 2007, 06:50:27 PM
Just an FYI - I received my monthly Innova email today & they are releasing a new putter called the Sonic soon.

Sonic — Coming Soon

We will soon unveil a new putter that is a throwback to the old school disc style that is based on the Hero 235. Keep a lookout for more information coming in the weeks ahead.

that's going to be a crazy understable putter!

It will be nice and straight at putter speeds from putting distances.  It won't be useful for anything else.  Kind of like a center weighted Crossfire that way.

Flight also sounds exactly like a Ching JuJu.  Crazy straight, but uber understable.  Did Innova really need this disc?  Aren't the Birdie, Aero, Polecat, and beadless Aviar all understable putters???  I prefer the approach of bringing back older, more popular molds (see reissue of original mold beast at Marshall street, or people's desire for KC teebirds or old mold eagles).

I'm hoping they needed it.  I grabbed a bunch.

Actually, there are Innova pros throwing Whammo 88s because Innova doesn't have a small putter understable enough for them.  The Birdie and Polecat are both lids and the Aero is a big diameter.  The beadless Aviar is understable as a driver but not as a putter.

I'm lost...Wham-O 88's?  Do you mean 86 Mold or do you mean the standard 88 g Wham-O Frisbee?  Pros putting with an 88 g 90 Mold would be news to me...but a lot of things are news to me, which is why I read this board.
