Now that the main season is over I plan on coming out as much as possible.
its all good. had no idea brett's tournament would have the draw it did for being so far away.
Something came up and I'm unable to run best shot tomorrow. Can somebody sub for me? I'll make a best effort to get the league box to you, if not today/tonight then I can deliver tomorrow morning at the park.

November 18 is on the list for the league but it's also the day of the Paper or Plastic tournament...any thoughts?

We're actually going to run both events at the same time. I'm going to try to slot players so that there is a gap that will hit hole #1 *somewhere* around 10 AM so that you guys can tee off and intermix. I'm going to announce at the player's meeting that this will be going on. So if you catch up to the people ahead of you, just be patient with them. The other option would be to play in the tournament, but I know that a lot of the best shot doubles players' ratings (eg. yours) are higher than the int/rec/jr divisions that will be going on for Sunday.

I haven't committed to anything yet, however I'm considering moving doubles that day to Grayslake so there's no competition with Scott's tournament. I'll post once I've made up my mind.
aww, how kind of you to make that consideration mirth :) Especially since I didn't think to contact you first before scheduling the event!

my offseason (Dec. 25-31) is going to be traumatic haha
10 people yesterday. Mirth hit an ace on hole #4. Ace pot starts over next week. -15 top score yesterday. Course is looking good the new holes are a nice change of pace to the original 12.
Apologies to all for not getting the scores up yet. I hope to get a chance to do that tomorrow or the day after.

Do you think its ok to salt the rubber tees?
i would say that salting the rubber tees would decrease durability and cause said pads to wear out quicker
I think so.
I emailed Reese to get his input about salting the pads. We'll see what he says.
Reese says salt is okay.
The tees are shoveled,so be sure to come out to League on Sunday.Probaly one of the few area courses with clear tees :headbang:

Tight race for first between myself & Chris J. 3rd is still in play between Tom S & Diabetic. Tom M & Patrick C are long shots for 3rd but possibilities if Schimo & Diabetic don't come for weeks 9 & 10.

Wanted to remind folks that the club will cover the cost of salt through the winter. If possible, all 18 pads should get salted.
Remember club meeting after leagues tomorrow. Nothing is better than pizza after tromping through 8 inches of snow for two hours.
Plan on playing 2x concretes tomorrow, unless somebody goes out & shovels the flypads before I get to the park. The 'cretes have better traction when freshly shoveled....

Last week was the end of fall league and Winter league starts on Jan 6th.I think people will be out for some pick up doubles the next two sundays and the cement tees are clear ;D
At this point I plan on being at the park on Sunday, usual time for doubles. Maybe some skins action?

I was planning on going to leagues in waukegan tomorrow, but if it is over for now i am down to play skins or doubles if enough people show up. I think nate will be coming with aswell. So we will be out there around 10 if anyone wants to play
