Signed and hope they putt the course on the old Four Winns golf course grounds in Wauconda.  Great disc golf land for a Championship caliber course.

If you have looked at this thread and have yet to sign the petition you are not doing your part to have the best course in Lake County installed. I will be e-mailing this to the board members of Lake County.

I signed it but preferred to remain anonymous.

I see Neal listed himself as an 'Enthusiast', though, so there's some major bagging going on there....

Is there a way to edit the comments?  I had a typo and did not put my town.  I wasn't the only one who did not put in his or her town.  Also, if we can correct typos...there is one in the petition.  calibur should be caliber.

Also, are the folks we are now trying to persuade different from the ones before.  The Lake County Commissioners seemed pretty receptive.  Tom, Brett, what would you like all of us out here to do other than sign?

It looks like if  you electronically sign it, it says it went through and then gives you the opportunity to make a donation to the site.  Kind of like the Art institute used to have it's "suggested" donation of 6 bucks.  They wanted 6 bucks but they would let you in for 1.  I just x'd out of that page once I saw that my signing had gone through

I tried to edit the contents but it's like that forever.

Basically for a course to get installed we need to get all the board members going on the idea. Disc golf has been presented to each board and they've all taken a vote. Please e-mail and call especially those no in favor for disc golf.

We currently have 127 club members. Not all of us have internet access. Let's say 75% have internet access, that would be 96 members who have access. If each of us could get one person to sign the petition and we each signed the petition, that would be 192 signatures. How about a minimum goal of 200 signatures?  Brett has been working hard, he posted on the PDGA website, which has added a number of new signatures.  This is a minimal amount of work with a chance at maximum reward. Please sign the petition and try and get at least one other person to sign.

Thanks.

Dear Board Members,

I was informed that the LCFPD is possibly going to be linking
Fairfield Park in Round Lake to the millennium trail. I cannot speak
for the rest of the disc golf community but I'm personally
disappointed if this project is approved by the Round Lake Area Park
District.

Fairfield Park is the only property in Lake County designated for
disc golf. It is one of two eighteen hole courses in the county.
There are absolutely no current conflicts out there. At this point
that is not the case at ANY of the other disc golf courses in Lake
County. Streets, walking paths, bike paths, baseball fields,
volleyball courts, playgrounds, and pavilions conflict with play at
area courses. 9 holes at Adler Park in Libertyville were eliminated
when the Des Plaines River Trail was constructed.

LCFPD is hesitant to offer disc golf but please do not conflict with
the only piece of property that offers the most challenge and hazard
free play in the area.
