Title: Milwaukee Ice Bowl - Formerly Big Chill
Post by: SERG on November 21, 2007, 11:48:45 AM
20th Anniversary of the Real Ice Bowl (http://www.unclejoes.org/rib.html)

January 26: Open ($100/team), Pro Masters ($80/team), Pro Grand Masters ($60/team)

January 27: Advanced, Advanced Masters, Women, Amateur (all prices $60/team)

You and your partner are invited to come on down and attend the 20th Anniversary of the biggest baddest most brutal disc golf event on the planet in Milwaukee, WI. This is the Super Bowl of winter golf. The tournament will not be postponed for any reason. Wimps, whiners, crybabies or complainers stay home!

The format is 24 holes of doubles with round 1 best shot and round 2 alternate shot

This year for the first time we are asking the help of all Ice Bowl players with cash sponsorships. In celebration of our 20th anniversary we rolled back entry fee prices $20 per player. Along with the TD's raising sponsorship cash we hope each player will try and dig up at least one $20 sponsorship for the tournament. A friend, someone from work (if you have a job), a business, club, anyone. If the player's do their part your prize payouts will grow very handsomely without extra money out of your own pockets! You all like added cash so help us get some!

Along with a BIG thank you for making the event better for everyone this $$ will be added directly into the prize purse of your team's division. We will also recognize each contributor on the web site if you provide the proper info.

I already signed up Mike Schwieger and I a few months ago!  This is almost like a 'winter supertour' and an event I this year will be my 12th year in a row playing.  Wow, I'm only 29!

Wow! That's a hot round. What did they finish at?
How did you and Dr. Dye finish?

Chris and Dave shot -17 and -8.  I think they won by 5 shots or so.

Nice shooting on Saturday Serg!   I saw you and Joe took 3rd place and were only 2 shots back of Barry/Mark for 1st place.  You guys had alot tougher conditions on Saturday.

Thanks, Dan.

Made the day all the more enjoyable. I think there were 5 or 6 teams tied for 2nd after the first round so to finish in 3rd was great. It snowed almost the entire first round and then started to snow again (a little lighter) as we began the second round). Their score would have taken home some cash on Saturday!
