They are just too young right now.  They'll get better.  Secondly, I think this is the hardest schedule they have played up to now.  Indiana, Miss. St, USC, St. Mary's, Charlotte, Butler.  Some good contenders in their respective conferences.  Doesn't help that they laid an egg against a decent Drake team.  All they can do now is win the conference tourney and get the automatic.  GO DAWGS GO!!!!

Falker leads S. Illinois to 71-60 win over Feb 26,

PEORIA, Ill. (AP)—Randal Falker scored 17 points to lead Southern Illinois to a 71-60 win over Bradley on Tuesday night.

Matt Shaw added 14 points and nine rebounds, Bryan Mullins scored 13 points and Joshua Bone chipped in 10 points for Southern Illinois (17-12, 11-6 Missouri Valley), which led 26-24 at the half.

The Braves played without point guard Daniel Ruffin, who was suspended indefinitely after being arrested Saturday on a misdemeanor domestic battery charge. Ruffin averaged around 15 points a game.

Both teams shot less than 35 percent in the first half, but the Salukis pulled ahead after the break on 14-for-25 shooting (56 percent), compared with 12-for-27 shooting (44 percent) for Bradley (17-13, 9-8).

Southern Illinois outrebounded the Braves 37-29 and had 15 points off turnovers, compared with three points for the Braves.

Jeremy Crouch had a game-high 21 points for Bradley. Theron Wilson added 15 points and Sam Maniscalso scored 13 points for the Braves.

Southern Illinois beat Bradley 77-64 in Carbondale on Jan. 8.
