Thanks to a recommendation from Brett, I used blue chalk yesterday and today. Brought a ziplock bag filled with the chalk and dipped my disc. Didn't come close to losing a disc. I also brought a bag full of orange chalk and gave it to Serg today. It works great. If everyone is using the chalk I don't know how well it will work. But it worked great today. Thanks for the idea Brett.
Don't use red chalk it stains and doesn't wash out. The same with black. It is the chalk that you would you in a snapline. It is nice to be able to throw in the winter and not worrying about losing a disc.
i wish i would have used chalk on hole 19 second round yesterday >:(
cost me 2 strokes and 40somethin bucks
I saw blue chalk over the course, I was wondering what that was all about!
Interesting, Where do you buy the chalk from?
Thanks,
Jason
Do you have to get the part of the disc you are dipping wet? or will the chalk just automatically stick to the disc.
You can find chalk at any hardware strore, Home Depot, or Menards. Just from playing in the snow the discs stay damp enough to pick up some chalk. Look in the aisles where the hand tools are located. Be careful not to use too much, it does get messy.
had to wash my coat sunday afternoon, it got so much on it.
on saturday, i had to learn to stand behind tommy mac (at about the 4:20 position on the clock dial) when he was teeing off to avoid the spray of fine blue powder that came off of the disc on his drives.
good times....
