Title: Manitowoc Doubles Tournament - Spring Break at Silver Creek
Post by: discglfr on February 06, 2008, 05:22:16 PM
Today's insane blizzard got you down?  Some parts of Wisconsin like where I live we received over a foot of snow and more is coming!  I have just the solution for you -  Spring Break at Silver Creek (http://www.takeflighttoday.com/product_info.php?cPath=24&products_id=199).

Silver Creek Park (http://www.pdga.com/course/courses_by_city.php?id=1183) is one of Wisconsin's best courses.  Year after year it hosts a summer event where close to 300 competitors come and play it.

I am working with Jim Van Lanen so that this event can be fun and it will also raise a few dollars for Manitowoc's second course - Indian Creek.

Details:

When:  Saturday, March 1st

Who:  Doubles Teams

Format:  Bring your own partner.  Best shot from the long tees then modified worst shot from the short tees.

Please check out the  online registration page (http://www.takeflighttoday.com/product_info.php?cPath=24&products_id=199) for more details.  As always, you are welcome to mail in your entry fee in.  My mailing info is provided on that page.

Please come out and play this fun event.  We will have player's packs for all non-pros and we are currently working on getting sponsorship for the event.

If you can get at least 4 TEAMS together and have them register then I will create any new division that is being requested, ie - adv masters.

Don't hesitate to call or e-mail me with any questions.  More info will get posted here as it becomes available.

I had a few PMs in the last few days asking about people that are coming.  Pre-reg isn't flying in but I think it will be a very popular event since it's such a well-liked course.  Don't get shut out.

Since I'm not sure about the exact numbers - and the fact that I'll create divisions that day which have 4 or more teams show up I'm thinking of waiting to do trophies until after the event.  That's better then spending a ton of money on divisions that may or may not have participants.

I huge e-mail blast will be going out in the next few days reminding everyone of the event.

Thanks!
