Every throw I made on that hole was just fine during rounds. While warming up I decided to play around with the T Rex and left it on the ice. Name and number are there. I lost my dignity on the same course but doubt anybody will find it. The disc has a better chance of recovery. <_<
At least you've got some chance of getting that one back Dave. I doubt anyone besides disc golfers are out at the park this time of year, but that in itself doesn't guarantee a call back. I left a red Viking at Hole #2 on tourney day (last year) & didn't get it back.
I wish you would have said something Saturday. I started to try to fish it off with my tape measure during the second round, but wanted to keep moving.
My best technique for discs stuck on the ice is to get down on one knee and whip sticks across the ice at it kind of like throwing a forehand, but with a stick. Eventually you'll hit the disc with it and slap it across.
golden retrievers work well on ice :) I didn't walk any of the course afterwards because it was dark. When will the next time be for leagues out there? Maybe someone from that group can go get it.
and that reminds me, was my golden retriever and tape measure ever returned by the folks that were trying to make the rescue efforts after Jim's debacle in the morning?
