I'm looking at throwing the Avenger SS for some straight shots. For someone that has thrown it - do you have a decent Innova comparison? The rim looks pretty similar to a Sidewinder. Right now I try to throw a Roadrunner in similar straight shot conditions, and I tend to flip it too much. I throw a Sidewinder and it gives me more of what I want, but it fades off too soon. I'd try a lighter sidewinder, but I want less wind impact. I'm hoping the Avenger SS is somewhere in between a Roadrunner and Sidewinder - agree/disagree for those who have thrown it?
Thx
When I first got some Avenger SSs I throw tested one along with a Sidewinder, a Rogue and a Surge for comparison. I'm pretty sure I posted about that. I found the Avenger SS to be comparable to the Sidewinder for understability, so last year I was selling the Avenger SS to players when I would otherwise have recommended the Sidewinder. They were happy with their purchase. I had repeat sales and referral sales from that.
I have not thrown the Road Runner enough to compare that to a Sidewinder or an Avenger SS.
I throw Avenger SS's on straight drives and also turnover drives. I think you are pretty close with the sidewinder, I have only thrown one a few times but it does have similar flight pattern, just doesn't seem to have the same distance as the SS. A real beat up SS flys very well with a some hyzer and it will stand up and go forever. ;D
this probably won't help you much but i feel my star sidewinder is flippier than my avenger ss. i have an avenger ss in my bag and have had it in there for almost a here (since they came out). i find the avenger ss closer to my roadrunner. it replaced my champion roadrunner, i haven't thrown the star roadrunner.
if i throw the avenger ss flat, it stays straight with a slight turnover and very little fade. with a little hyzer it will flatten and fly pretty straight the entire flight path.
I would say a TL
