Ive gotten some requests regarding Wednesday night doubles at Grayslake so i decided to go ahead and do it another year.
Same format as last year. Random draw NO upper/lower divisions. $5.00 entry and $1.00 for ace pot. There will also be and optional cash CTP for a buck. 18 holes (9 from concrete 9 from the alternates.) First week will be April 16th with a tee off time around 5:30. The first Wednesday in May we will be teeing off at 6pm throughout summer. Every week there will be atleast 1 CTP for a disc. If you havnt played Grayslake yet come check it out. It is a fun and tough 9 hole course with a demanding back 9 of alternates. See you on the course! 8)
PS: All the alernates will be flagged and marked by April 1st.

I will be shooting for a 5:45 tee off on the 16th.

i went out there on sunday and staked/painted all the alternates, also there is now a mando on hole 2s alternate to force taking the anhyzer route instead of a big hyzer. see you guys tommorow.

front 9 have cement tees. there a 3 alternates that we throw from the walking path and the other 6 are dirt or wood chips. the course was pretty dry on sunday so im sure it is looking pretty good now. I would bet it is one of the driest course in lake county right now.

Had 8 people last night for the first week. Nice weather besides the crazy winds. Alex and Porto won with a -7 shooting a hot 7 of 9 from the cement and a solid par from the alternates. Luke won the CTP for a champion shark and I won the CTP for cash which was 8 bucks. The course has dried up real nice and is looking GREAT! We will have a 6pm tee off next week through summer with 8 dollars roling over in the ace pot.
6PM Tee off tonight. A whole 8 dollars in the ace pot rolling from last week. Looks like its going to be a good night for disc golf 70 and sunny. 8) Come out and get the birdies while you can before the course grows in becouse its only going to get harder. >:D
Dont forget to check for ticks after playing Grayslake. I found one in my underwear before getting in the shower and that was about 5 hours after getting home from league :-\. I hate those little F er's
hopefully the rain will hold off tonight, sounds like it will be clear (according to Tom Skilling). 6pm tee off with $22.00 in the ace pot. I was out there on Monday night and the course is growing in nicely. In my opinion this is the toughest course in lake county especially if you cant stay out of the shule.

sounds good. I just talked with bongman and i dont think he is going to make it tonight. He said if he does it will be right around 6pm by the time he gets there so we will see. Ill be there around 4pm.
Had a little boost of attendence this week with 12 players with 3 of the "regulars" not there. Had a 4 way tie for 1st place shooting -8. Myself and cannon boy won the playoff and Chris and Dave took 2nd. I got the CTP for cash of 10.00 and there were no aces so the ace pot is up to $36.00. 6PM tee off next week.
Ace pot up to 80.00 going into tonight. Going to be a beautiful night just bring your bug spray. 6pm Tee off.
Doubles on Wednesday July 16th will be at Warren. Ace pot will carry over. 6pm tee off like usual. Warren is just too nice of a 9 holer not getting any love. :wub:

All the alternates are set. Me and Schimo were out there on saturday and got some SWEET holes set up. Most likley we will continue to play at Warren for leagues thru summer becouse of the mesquito infestation, and the shule getting out of control at Grayslake. Come check it out. :icon_rr:

Had a good time at the Warren league last night (formally Grayslake). The mosquitos are not bad at all and the course plays nice with the new alt. tees and it flows smoothly. This is also a good course for those hot summer days because the whole course is in the shade except for holes 8 and 9. Looking forward to next week :icon_thumleft:

How many players last night? Anyone go into the water on 9?
There was 8 players last night and that was without all the G-lake regulars. Two players from our group went in the water. One was close to the edge and the other was deep......real deep :)
Also no ace was hit so it starts @ $94.00 next week.

There will be league on the 6th same as usual 6pm tee off meet by hole 7. Ace pot is at $110.00. Porto will be taking over again this week becouse Im going to the Cubs/Astros game Wednesday afternoon. Samething for Aug 13th becouse I have to cover for somebody at work and dont get off till 7pm, and then on Aug 20th I have another cubs game against the Reds Im going to. I will be back running leagues Aug 27th. Hopefully no one hits that ace till then!! ;D

There was no league on Wed 8/13. The ace pot is at $122.00 going into 8/20.
I just got back from playing some rounds today and there was a kid swimming in the pond at the 9th for at least 30 minutes, he had a pile of at least 10 discs when i was leaving and he was still in there searching. So if you see a kid with a ton of discs, maybe he has one of yours.

I thought about jumping in, but one day a say a large snapping turtle on the shore. If you stick your hand in the wrong place that could be trouble. Big trouble if it's your throwing hand.

There was seven players last week and all got in for the ace so there is $7.00 to add to the ace fund, but I spent it on crack and hookers.
