Title: Disc Golfing Musicians
Post by: rev rick on June 04, 2008, 10:08:11 AM
Hi all,
My better half Loretta's band, the JuJu Minstrels, are playing at Fox's Roadhouse in Yorkville this Saturday night. Their set list includes the Stones, Pink Floyd, the Supremes, Heart, Tom Petty, Melissa Ethridge, the Strokes, KT Tunstall, and lots more. I haven't been to this club yet, but hear that they're trying to establish themselves as an entertainment venue in the area, with a blues/rock influence, so Jim's band would probably do well to check it out, too!

The JuJu's are also playing Sunday at Pride of the Fox festival in St. Charles, right before Hi Infidelity (and the charity bachelor auction), although it looks like that's going to be a nice afternoon for playing a few rounds...

This is on the PDGA website to those of you who may be interested:

Hey all: I'm trying to put together a compilation CD for prizes for an upcoming tournament that I've been working on.

If you know of any disc golfers that also play in bands and have recorded some of their songs, please have them send me an email: mritner@yahoo.com

I'd love to have 10-15 songs for a compilation and need to put it all together in the next 2-3 weeks.

Thanks!
