This was suppoed to happen last fall but it was delayed. This is supposed to take place on Monday 6-16 @ 6pm. I cannot make it so Barrett White will be featured. 20 to 40 players are needed at Oak Brook for the filming. Please spread the word. I will let you know if there are any changes to the schedule.

Thanks Mukey! The more the merrier. I would love to be there but it's our first summer league game Monday night. I don't think it would be good to miss the first game at my new job.

I am still teaching in Waukegan. I took a girls basketball position at Libertyville HS. I am still teaching summer school at Carmel Catholic but resigned from coaching position there.
I am off to my first summer league game. Someone post how it went tonight.

did you try and sell to the CLTV people?
I went to the cltv thing at oakbrook in lieu of buffalo grove doubles (sorry roman :mellow: ). Barrett White did a fantastic job of demonstrating a number of shots and just general technique. She explained the game fairly well and had the 'anchor' from cltv throwing a fair bit. John Knudson was miked up as well and demonstrated a variety of shots. They got a lot of different people throwing different shots including myself throwing right next to the basket on hole 6 (ignoring the mando). John and Barrett as well as Mike and Kathy all did excellent in terms of selling the sport and the people from cltv all seemed to enjoy themselves. They got some good footage (I've done some film work in the past)...the quality will depend on lighting and their editing ability. I think they probably have good people for the editing work and it will probably be a good video introducing people to the sport. Thanks again to Brett and Mike and Kathy and Barrett and John and everyone else who got the word out or came and threw. Hopefully this will provide some great publicity for the sport.

I'd agree with everything Paul had to say. I was really nervous, but I hope that doesn't come through too much. The segment is set to air on Friday at 10:30 (someone correct me if I'm wrong) and again on Saturday and Sunday at various times. It also will be posted on the CLTV website, so I'll post a link.
Thanks again to everyone who came out. Also, a big thanks to Brett and Mike and Cathy Kamm for setting this up. I was telling the CLTV people (who actually have played before!) that it's awesome to see how far disc golf has come in the 14 years I've been playing. I have such appreciation for those who have been working so hard to grow the sport. Hopefully, this will just be more positive exposure for the sport and something on which we can build.
