Title: Indiana road trip worthy courses
Post by: Mukey on June 17, 2008, 10:51:49 AM
Probably gonna make a trip with my brother sometime soon, looking for suggestions on what is worth the drive

I've already got Lemon Lake on the list (gotta play silver & gold), and have heard that Mishawaka is great also.

Any other suggestions?

Ox Bow in Goshen is a really nice course, it's right near Mishawaka. Which course in Mishawaka were you looking to play? I've heard good things about George Wilson, but Rum Village is not a destination in my opinion.

Are you going on this trip for disc golf purposes or do you have somewhere you are ending up in Indiana? If it's for disc golf only I may recommend another state that is better for destination disc golf courses. :)

Brookside Park has the Checkered Flag Open on Sunday, July 6th. The Indianapolis area's only sanctioned tournament of the summer...

Definetly George Wilson, I've heard that Rum Village isn't somewhere to drive to

Just going for disc golf, might not be able to convince my brother to go to MI just yet, but I know I have to get out there and play (Bruce reiterates this to me all the time)

Terre Haute is nice. France Park(Logansport) is in my Top 5 of all time. George Wilson is awesome. Rum Village is fun if you like alot of 2's.  Haven't played any of these since 1997 except France Park. I try to get there once a year.
