If you live in one of these park districts and care about what your new course is going to be like I suggest you contact the person listed. I am only listing Northern Illinois. I can probably find out about other areas by request.

That is all I have found for '08 if I find more I will post here.
I have talked with the guy from Hoffmann Estates.
I'm presuming the Hampshire Township one is going to be different than the Gilberts course - those two towns are pretty close to one another ----- it's getting closer and closer to where I'm at in Algonquin!
It makes me wonder if Robert Whitehouse is the same Robert Whitehouse that used to be the principal at my middle school... if it is I at least remember him to be a fairly cool guy.
I hope they both turn out well :)
Necro bump.
The Hampshire 'course' mentioned here did go in, sadly enough.

oh man, how depressing.
If you consider it a course it can be depressing. If you consider it a practice area in a park that may get kids to play the game and provide a way for local adults to practice, it may not be so bad. For all the negative reaction to the Lincolnwood course, I am happy to have some baskets and tee pads nearby. How often have you seen a park and said to yourself that there are two or three cool holes but not room enough for 9 or 18.? I have not been to Hampshire. Will the 3 baskets provide something for locals? If so, its not so bad. If the park could hold a full course and this is all they did just ignore what I have written.
