Title: Zone
Post by: ParkerJ152 on July 05, 2008, 12:25:34 AM
Hello,

I'm interested to hear what do you guys think of Discraft releasing the Pro D Zone as a Limited Edition disc. When I first heard about it, I thought it was a bad idea. Do you think the disc being Limited Edition will help the disc sell, or will it be one of those discs that nobody buys because they are afraid they will not be able to replace it if they end up liking it?

Thanks,
Jason

I had a couple of them at the last IOS.  No takers.  Maybe now that they are a limited edition I can get rid of them?   ::)

I would say for sure I will not be buying one.  It is a lot like a innova rhyno with the feel of a gateway magic.

Being of limited number however, shouldn't have any bearing on the disc being a putter.  the only way to lose a putter generall is to forget to take it out of the basket and walk away.  Or i guess you could break it considering the plastic.  Either way at this point in the game unless you are new most people like the putters they have and will stick to what they know.  unless they feel the need to have a more overstable putter/approach disc.

I didnt realize you had them or I probably would have picked them up.  I love the disc & have been throwing it casually since picking up the proto @ BG.  It may be limited edition so they can release it again for the ace races.

if that's the ace race disc this year, then the holes will be even shorter :)  36 jump putt ace runs haha.

Hey don't knock throwing putters on a drive, they often fly straighter and are more accurate then a driver.  I throw them on just about anything under 240ft.

I know, I can throw my putter almost dead straight for 200 feet on a semi-consistent basis... but not everyone can either.  I made the holes waaaay too long at Waukegan last year, so I had to shorten those anyway! (not 100% sure I'm going to go back to Waukegan due to small turnout though)

I don't think it looks, feels or flies like a putter.  To me it looks an feels like a mid and flies like a pig.
