I've been going to school at NIU for a few years now but am new to the disc golf scene. Anyone else go to school or live around the Dekalb area that would be interested in playing doubles or is a regular to the local course?
whats up, i live in creston about 10 miles to the west and play dekalb. i also travel through dekalb to play courses around the subburbs or go to kirkland which is 15 min from dekalb. im codesigning a 12 hole in dekalb out by south point center. if you want someone to shoot with drop me a line 8155908201
They're a few dedicated golfers in Dekalb, but not many. I used run to doubles every Friday a year ago but since have moved away. The few that I know rarely play DeKalb and go to Kirkland more often. Jason
I've been out here all summer for work and have made it up to Kirkland 3 or 4 times. Strange thing is whenever I head up there it seems the place is deserted. First time I went up there I got lost at the 8th and also missed the 9th. I heard from someone known only to me as "Real estate kid" that they do doubles there on Sunday nights.
That sounds like Kyle. He was trying to start doubles in Kirkland before I left. I used to drive out to Oswego and all the time to play doubles. Check out the Fox Valley Metro Disc Golf Club, a great groups of guys, tell them Jason sent you.
was just at kirkland and they have a sign for doubles on sundays. they also put a new post up for nine
I"m in Dekalb til July, then im movin to Naperville. I like playing with the fellas but im tired of being the only girl. I try to bring out my friends but they not any good, they complain and are not competitive as much or even close to how I am. I play the Dekalb course every other day if not everyday so if there's any girls that wanna compete without as many dick and farts jokes let me know.

i agree dekalb is over crowded with people, and most of them do talk pretty vulgar around/towards women. the kirkland course is a 15min drive from dekalb. theres women that play there. my wife likes to play kirkland.
take annie glidden north to hwy 72(about 12miles). turn left(west) on 72. go about 3miles till you hit kirkland and take your 1st right, cross the tracks and you are at the course. its a decent 18hole course that plays around a lake and next to the kish river.
i live about 10min to the west of dekalb. i go to kirkland instead of dekalb. if you ever wanna checkout anna page in rockford send me a pm, i go there a lot. its 2 18hole courses back to back. i dont make dick/fart jokes either.
