If you have the opportunity or are in the area, Justin Trails is absolutely a disc golf destination. These courses are located in Sparta Wisconsin. There are two courses on one piece of property. There is the original course which has elevation, tight fairways and unbelievable views.
Then there is the second course called Big Brother. It is over 3.5 miles long up and down hills and winding through corn fields. This Timmy Gill designed course is the toughest I have ever played. Hole number 1 is over 1000 feet long, and this time of year there is corn 8 feet high running down both sides of a 25 foot wide fairway. The Advanced round today took over 3 hours and 45 minutes to play. Every shot counts. It is a great course.
In my opinion, these two course are better than the courses at Standing Rocks and Tower Ridge.
As far as sheer beauty I don't think there is a finer course in the midwest.
3 1/2 miles! Wow. What you shoot on that one.

I shot a 70 and the top score for a pro was 58. But the pros had some rain in the afternoon. I think the par is listed at 61.
Saw the pics of the course on the website. I can only imagine that this place in the fall must be breath taking.
Cheers to that!
Great courses, had a great time! Big bro is just a monster....
par was 59 according to the scorecard. If any of you have a chance to get up there DO IT!
These two courses are the best i've ever seen. I think for next year this will be a 2 day A tier.
Amazing golf....
Ive never seen tighter fairways in my life....
sounds like you guys avoided the heavy rains too - very cool.
how far north into wisconsin is this?
about 4 hours from me(Streamwood)
Well it rained on us pretty bad after like 2 yesterday
we didnt finish up until like 7:30 with awards and what not. The intermediate players got drenched on Saturday
but for most of the day yesterday it was pretty dry.
Adam Olsen took it down taking home like 700 and a flat screen tv lol
Sprague and Olsen had to play off for first. Chris splashed out from like 50 feet out while it was dumping rain, sick putt
just came right out.
took us forever to come home yesterday with the rain, just terrible.
and Scott
its a little over 4 hours to get there from the city.....
Here are some pics....not the best and I wish I would have shot more but the wife is not the best photographer....
anywho, just a small sample of some of the layouts, and I dont even think they do the course justice.

Looks like some very tight fairways. Absolutely Beautiful scenery. How did you do?
Ohh the place is just amazing, the views are such a change from what we see around here.
Well I could have done much better, first round from big brother I shot a 10 over and the leader
for advanced put up a 63. Par was 59 for that course, Tom and I were on the 3rd or 4th card....
The second course I hit 5 birds but managed to bogey out to par.... lol
It was raining pretty hard and I just could not get any footing for the life of me. But I had a really good time,
think I took 11th or something, hit the cash and got some sweet CFR excalibres...
I'll be back there next year, It should be an A tier for sure. I would have been pretty pumped with a 5 over
for big brother, but 10 got me pretty pissed. It's tough to hit fairways when the hole is 600 feet long
with a 20 foot wide path surrounded by 9 foot tall corn...hahaha
Fun times though. Im not really used to true par 4 and 5 golf. I would have played a bit smarter taking lay ups
and hitting the upshots rather than driving to the pin on some of them. lessoned learned .... O0
If the tourny is going to be an A Tier next year how is the lodging in the area. Looks like a real small town.
There are some local hotels just outside the area, not much around but within 15 minutes...
Actually I think there is a place just off the HW. They have some lodging there but it can only fit like 25-30 people.
They provided camping but I need showers, I dont dig the no shower thing.
Donna said she will be working out the details. A tier or not, I'll still go but a 2 day event would be nice
I think thats for sure already..We'll see about the A tier, not sure what needs to be worked out for that to happen
Looks pretty sweet. That picture of you putting where everything else is blurrrred except you and the basket is pretty cool
A tier requires a certain amount of added cash. I'm sure Brett, Jon, Bruce or Mike can answer that one better. I saw the Bed and breakfast type lodging and some hotels on expedia. Will definately consider this one for next year.
Currently (for 2008) there must be a min. of $1500 added cash for an A-tier.

Thanks! That was a killer hole, throwing down into a valley of corn, basket was tucked 50 feet up the hill in the woods.
The placement of the baskets on the open holes were just awesome.

I thought it was something like that but wasn't sure. You should, all of you guys should if you can make it, its a really killer
place to be. Also, the wife and I stayed in Lacrosse which is about 20 miles out and is a really cool local town, GREAT BEER!

Right on, thanks for the clarification. Im sure they could raise money too with stamped discs if needed.
