I am looking at having about a two hour window tomorrow between 9:30 and 11:30am, door to door, to throw a round. I am working near I-294 and route 120 in Waukegan and looking at these two courses to be my best options. bevier is closer however probably playing ios 6 in redemption for my outstanding first tourney performance at oswego in hurricane ike. so wanna play both. just looking for suggestions for the locals...
thanks...David Durov
if you only have a 2 hour window and bevier is closer, then go to bevier - fairfield is tougher, but Bevier isn't exactly a cake walk either. You may not be able to play 16 and 17 at Bevier though due to the rain - I'm presuming the remaining shambles of that bridge would not have survived the storm.
If you want to throw more bombs then go to fairfield.
Bevier is good if you want to have more opportunity to throw various shots. Bevier has a good mix. 16 and 17 should be playable, it may just take a couple minutes longer if you need to go around to the bridge.
If you play fairfield to practice for the tournament then I would suggest skipping the wide open holes and practice the wooded stuff.

bevier is a funner course
round L b is just hyzers for 6 holes - only challange if its windy then the holes seem to get long
imho
I would go to Bevier. I would bring a map so you know where all 18 are located. The new 9 don't have signs and the other 9 don't have the # plates on them anymore.
have played both courses... Bevier's 1-5 lacks behind... But is made up for on holes 6-11.... but overall bevier is a fun course..... The putting greens on the new holes are awesome i got excited when i saw them.
thanks gang...i am going to head to bevier. i don't throw bombs so that's a no brainer. tee pads scare me. plus i'll get 20 more minutes of play time and that's the best part. i'll be out there 9:30 - 10:00. i'll be the guy in the brown shirt yelling fore a lot and throwing into trees (and loving every minute of it). :)
