I call the first Chainstar!

For the past few years about twice as many people have wanted Chainstars as I have had Chainstars available for 400 Brass or 375, whatever you got charged when you got yours.  I think Discontinuum or Brett might have gotten a better deal than that, but it was for the cause.

Usually the Chainstars have been rationed by the "dibs" system, or by Brett saying, "Come on, Bruce, hook a brother up."  This year that worked for about half of you.  But it seems odd to me not to use Discraft's generous sponsorship baskets to promote Discraft sales.

I'm thinking for 2009, every Discraft disc will have a Chainstar "point" on the back.  It will be a vinyl sticker you can peel off and stick on your Chainstar point card and keep in your wallet.  It will be a nice, waterproof vinyl sticker that does not leave any residue.  It will probably also be the price tag.  When I get a Chainstar, dibs will go to the player or group of players who are prepared to turn in the most points, by secret bid.

Now you may be thinking, if I spend my winnings on Discraft discs, how can I afford the basket?  That's been another catch-22 with the basket situation.  They will be sold at Discraft retail for Brass [or whatever replaces Brass], but when it comes time to buy, I'll also sell you Brass [or whatever replaces Brass] at 50 cents on the dollar.

It sounds like Taylor is already in line for a basket at that price.  Stay am Taylor, and get your points.

Can I get 2nd in line?  Sounds like a good enough excuse to keep up the monthly road trips to Chicago :)

Dude, read the post and get yourself first in line.   ;D

The 2009 IOSeries will be the only series where even the price tag on the disc has value!

I just want to use my 50% off coupon for the Chainstar. Otherwise I probably wouldn't be interested. :)
