Yeah,

It's tough to believe but the Random Beaver Round Up will be turning 5!  This super fun, low-key, 3 round, doubles event is planned for January 3rd, 2009.  More details to come in the next few days but I wanted to at least remind everyone of the date. 

Again, Random Beaver Round Up V taking place on  Saturday, January 3rd, 2009.

Sorry about that ... I updated a few other discussion boards but I managed to miss this one.  I have come to the conclusion that many Discontinuum guys don't seem to come to unsanctioned events.  I love both sanctioned and unsanctioned events for various reasons.

Anyway - here are more details:

More Details for the Random Beaver Round Up V:

Date: Saturday—January 3rd
Check In: 8:00 - 9:00 | Tee: 9:30
(There is plenty of golf to shoot so be on time)
Random Draw AND Bring Your Own Partner Doubles

-Mixed teams are welcome and encouraged!
-Feel free to bring your PDGA renewal information. I will be sending in a large group of them for the Club Affiliate
-All of the newest discs will be available as well as LDS apparel and accessories.
-ALL non pro players will some type of player's package

-We will have 1 round of random draw and 2 rounds of Bring Your Own Partner! Be there for all 3 rounds.
-The random round is like a separate event with it's own payout and it doesn't count with regards to rounds 1 or 3.
-100% of entry fees will be paid back in cash or prizes.
-Pre-registration is available so don't delay. Do it online or mail it in.

Divisions:

$50 / team - Women
$50 / team - Mixed
$50 / team - Amateurs
$70 / team - Advanced
$90 / team - Pro

$5 per person goes toward the random round, the rest goes into your division

Directions:
Located at Crystal Lake Park in Beaver Dam, WI.
Directions: From Hwy 41 or 45, exit Hwy 33 West to Beaver Dam. Just before you see Cenex Gas Station, Turn right on Lake Hills Drive. .5 Miles to parking lot on left

-TD has ultimate decision on divisions - please don't try to sandbag!

The tees were tended to on Wednesday but a handful of people. 

Then on Thursday they got more treatment be me and another handful of people.  We will likely not play 3's long and we'll play a different hole 18 because I don't want anyone's errant shot hitting a sledder.  It's simply not worth risking.  Thank you to everyone that has helped the tees in any way.

Here is what I just posted on the PDGA site as an update:

I'm gearing up for Saturday (1/3/09) this very moment.  Lots of last minute entries and we are right on pace with all of the previous year's numbers.  Looking at about 40 that are pre-registered right now. 

Not sure how many more plan to show up tomorrow but 40 has been about the average for this event year after year.  Sounds good!  Ready to rock and roll.  Looking forward to the Random Beaver Round Up V.  Rain or shine, wind or cold, high or low temps!
