Title: Weather/Water reports on the I-80 courses
Post by: ChrisPUTTS on March 17, 2009, 10:44:58 AM
I was just wondering if anybody has playability reports on West Park, Channohon, New Lenox, Shorewood, Highland, or Olypia Fields....

I was out at Mokena last night... very crowded, but playable..

Standing water on 5, 19,20,21.... A couple other holes were just mush too... but playable

I was at West Park last Friday (see lost and found thread :'() and it was very muddy and soggy. There were other playsers there.  I played about 8 holes and left.  Anything in the woods was a muddy mess.  Perhaps its dried out by a little by now.

i played Channy yesterday.  it is soggy but it is playable.  placement was key.

one hole (i think 9) you had to throw over water (maybe 100ft) from tee which isn't really an issue.  hole 6 basket was in the water about a foot in.  there is still plenty of water on the course but mostly in the rough.  so if you hit a tree on 5 and your teebird goes to the right, and you see it sitting on top of the water and think it is only an inch or two deep, you will learn it's well over your boot high when you walk out there to pick it up.   :-\  good thing is was a nice day to leave my boots in the yard to dry today since they were still wet today.
