If your ratings have moved please post your revised rating here and I will update our member list with the new ratings. We are up to 103 members and are continuing to grow. We will have some Discontinuum Club Member only CTPs at Crystal Lake. Thanks for your support.
My rating has gone up a couple of points since the last Discontinuum update. I have some good rounds falling off, so my rating might go back down.

Time to place your bets.
Will I be Advanced or Intermediate after the ratings update?
For those of you who think i'm smoking crack when I mention my 1034 rated round, only three days left to see it in my database. :'( http://www.pdga.com/player-ratings-detail?PDGANum=13087&year=2009 ;D
Speaking of smoking crack, I edited this out of Jon's stats:

That includes my one 1000 rated round. Which was probably really a 950 rated round but whatever. It's in the books as 1000. I'll take it!

Unfortunately, the 1000 rated round is NOT in the books. The books only go back to 2001 with round data and you shot the round in 1999. I'll attest that for that tournament you got one round in the 930s and one round and one round above 1000 for the 970 average. But they only show the average.
Bruce, I figure you'll stay Advanced, you haven't played enough rounds in Illinois this year to weigh down your rating.
I predict that I will be 849-851 after the update. As much as I hate seeing my rating go down, I wouldn't mind playing MA4 for a few tournaments.
I think I'll go up to about 965 temporarily because of the Am Nats rounds, but then will take a step back after the next update due to the lack of play since then/in the near future. Looks like I may be moving disc golf from an "almost every weekend tournament" activity to "hopefully I can get one or two days of disc golf per month" activity. Worlds will be fun either way though!
If you like the things you're doing instead more than playing disc golf, there's nothing wrong with that. If you're working a job you hate instead of playing a game you love, different story.
new ratings are up.
Kiralyn is +11
Madisen +5
Kelsey +3
Sure, but how many holes have any of them birdied driving with a Zephyr, eh?
I didn't drop enough. 853.
well i met my goal and went up 13 points to be over 900. my new rating is 901 ;D
My spectacular performance at Lippold came back to haunt me. I'm back down to 896. Technically I can play Rec again. :P Not that I will.
I keep claiming that MA3 (and/or MA4) should be called inconsistent or erratic. I have 115 points between my best round and my worst round that counts. Anyone else have that large of a spread?
115 here also. Best of 953, worst of 838. Worst that does not count is another 47 below that.
Before the latest update I was closer to 150 points.
139 here. Working on raising that without touching the bottom ;)
+6 here, wanting that 950 SO BAD >:(
98 pts. 894/ 796 on succesive rounds on the same day. Otherwise, the range has been remarkably narrow
not on this ratings period, but within a couple months of each other best round is 929, worst is 805.... yikes thats 124 pts.
I've had 115 difference in a 2 round tournament!
Right now my high/low is 1023/906 so right around that 115 mark. Went up 1 to 961, but would have gone up more had Am Nats from 2008 fallen off the ratings. Going to push hard to shoot well at Worlds and MI State Championships to go up again in September.
It's reassuring to me that many of you suffer extreme ups and downs like I do.
My swing is 165 and an unnamed club member has a 250 point swing.
I thought the 250 was me until I pulled up my info. I only have a 159 point swing with my bottom round just being dropped. finally hit some relief. up 40 points! Still novice for life though.

It seems to go hand in hand with the high i.q. for a lot of people. Fish oil can get you through the valleys. If it isn't enough, there's no shame in seeing your doc and getting some help from prescription medication.
Wait. Were you talking about ratings? ;D
with the pdga.com site soooo slow on posting anything since Worlds, does anyone know when the next update is?

thanks Dan. maybe you can answer this one too?
I have only played in 7 tournys this year, but pdga.com shows 9?? Was worlds like 3 tournys or what?
it includes everything in the past 12 months, so I'm guessing it picked up 2 tourneys from '08? I didn't pull up your member page to look at it though.
I pulled up you info and you actually only have 4 tournaments from '09 used on your ratings. They take your last 12 months of data starting from your most recent rated round used in your ratings detail. In your case, the most recent round used to calculate your rating was played on 6/13/09, so they are using all tournaments you have played from 6/13/08-6/13/09 to calculate your player rating.
His question is more with the # of events. He shows more events for his points than actual events played. I don't believe the event count goes to prior years.
yes, pickax is correct. My 2009 stats show 9 tournys played with so many points. But I have only played in 7 this year, Why does it show 9?
But thx Dan. I always wondered that info as well, so 12 months back from most recent. Gotcha.

Where are you looking that shows nine?
www.pdga.com, member search PDGA#7648
Nevermind now. It shows 7. But yesterday and Saturday it showed 9 events played. They must have corrected it.
finally 951
