Hi Everyone,
I wanted to let y'all know I'm moving to Texas next weekend. After living in Chicagoland for 25years, its time for me to go back home. I wish I could have played in IOS #3 in Sterling, but there was just too much to do before the move. I'm extremely thankful to everyone who has helped me learn to play this amazing sport. The tournaments were fantastic and the friends I've made this past year even better. I had the best time playing regardless of where I finished. Having fun and finishing was my goal and I succeeded. I was lucky to find the DISContinuum website and learn about Brett's lessons. It didn't take long before I was hooked. I will continue to play once I move. I heard they like the sport in Austin/Round Rock, too. If you are ever in the Austin/Round Rock area and want someone to play a round or 2 with just pm me.
Everyone keep on playing and don't forget to Practice,Practice,Practice!
Patti Lisica ;D
Patti,
Have a safe trip down there! I wish you the best of luck. I enjoyed living in Houston for the 2 years I was down there. Everything is big in Texas so i'm assuming disc golf is too ;D. We will miss you!
Brett
Have a safe trip down and take care when you're there.
have a safe trip.
When you get a chance, go play Old Settlers' Park in Round Rock. They have a hole like 950' or longer. Can't remeber, been way to long.
I don't know how much Patti would enjoy a 950ft hole :icon_lol: But i do hear the courses around Austin are nice. They definitely have some good land down that way. I don't know how playable the courses are during the heat of the day in the summer though.
Austin is a great town. I'm sure you'll have fun.
Patti,
Have a wonderful time in Texas. Keep us posted on where you end up and when you are playing in events so that we can track your progress.
Tom
Discontinuum now has a club member from Texas!
Patti, shoot me a pm or an e-mail once you get down there and I can get you connected with my sister. My sister Lynn and her husband Charles are in Austin and play disc golf. They aren't the most active club members but they do know what's going on and they do know the courses. The last time I was down there I was still playing and really enjoyed the courses, tacos and bbq!
I also play some online games every Friday with a guy that lives in Austin who can show you all the good bars...he's probably not a serial killer! ;D
Good luck and we understand why you couldn't make it to IOS #3. I almost didn't make it myself...we were still digging out TD stuff as the date quickly approached! As Tom said, keep in touch and let us know how it's going!
