Title: Manito, IL ---Memorial Park
Post by: CEValkyrie on August 22, 2009, 01:44:52 PM
This is a very short beginner friendly course. There isn't much land but the layout maximized the potential. It's very easy to navigate.
9 Hole course--Innova Discatchers
Cement tees.
NIce Signs with garbage cans at each hole.

The park is very nice. It has restroom facilities and a pool. Someone puts a lot of time into upkeeping the flowers. They are everywhere. I felt bad when my disc landed in a patch of nice flowers.

Unless you are near Manito you should not go out of your way to play it.

I agree with your last statement. I'm 20 minutes from that course. Went and played it with my under 900 rated brother tonight. Hole #1 is 326 ft along the parking lot and entrance. OB can come into play. Every other hole under 284' with 3 holes between  155' - 186'.

I shot -6 the 1st time we played it. Then 2 local boys challenged us to a best shot round. we played the 9 holes in 18 strokes. Hit basket on 2 holes off the tee.

unless u need to practice your upshots, don't waste your time.
