Title: Distance--Men 65 & Older
Post by: CEValkyrie on September 25, 2009, 10:16:12 AM
Hello,,

I need your help, and hope you will take time to respond to this inquiry. I am
trying to claim a record for distance with the disc golf disc, for men 65 and older.
Do you have any men that age that you know of, playing disc golf? If you do, please
ask them to get a measurement, on level ground, wind conditions make no difference
in this. Please have them send in their results to me. The only requirement is that
they be of that age, Illinois resident, and have 2 witnesses. I will compile a list
and send a copy to any club that wants one. Thanks for your time and hope you will
help me.

         Thanks

If you want to claim the record, you'll need to hold a distance competition under WFDF.org rules.  It is not hard to do.  They are actually pretty relaxed about the fine particulars so long as you follow the basic rules regarding level playing field and whatever the limit is on number of throws per round and actually measuring from where the disc first touched the ground.

Here's your record:

Men (65 and older): 111.00 m Jim Palmeri (USA) 7/13/07 Cortland, NY

For those of you not from Canada, 111 meters would be about 364 feet 2 inches.
