I am very excited about the 2010 Season. I figured i'd get this thread started. I plan on uploading the initial document in the next few days once the TD's double check it over. Some nice surprises!

I have attached the initial calendar in the 1st post. This is very early and things may change. Do not take off work or book hotels. Wait until you see these on PDGA.com to become official.
No Crystal Lake or Round Lake?
I'm pretty sure Jon said he was going to do Round Lake, but he couldn't schedule it until later when Maddisen's band schedule was finalized.

We also have to wait and see if/when they are scheduling work in the park. Don't want to have a Round Lake tourney if the park is under going some construction.
Sweet, time to start savin up some cash ;D
I'm surprised there hasn't been any commentary yet on the one May event... It should be A great event :) And I'm not talking about Channahon - although I hope that turns out to be a great event as well!
The West Park August event has a good chance of moving to later - maybe the September date. I also hope to run something at Jericho Lake in Aurora, but that has to be coordinated with park district as they might be doing some construction off the lake for a part of next year and the course may not be fully accessible (wouldn't want to run a tourney with construction vehicles moving all around anyway). Hole 7A may never be able to happen again *sniff*. I don't know where they are building this new paddleboat rental thing just yet.
Should be a great 2010!
Brett I don't think the dates are right in your PDF for the May A-Tier. This year in May the weekend is the 22nd-23rd and you have marked as 19th-20th. Just an FYI :)

Pretty quiet in April, thus far.
What event will be the IL USDGC qualifier? Lemon, GPO, something else...?
Thanks for the hard work, Brett.
I have a request in for one in April - still verifying course. April 17/18.

I have Scott's April event and another July event to add to the calendar. I'll get that posted.

As far as the USDGC Rep spot i'm planning on Lemon Lake. I contacted the IN SC about that spot but he's using it in another way.
Dana,
How about a solo event at Eureka?
I'll get this info on the tour document tonight.

Brett or Jon? Is the ATier 5-22 & 5-23 at Crown Point a 2 day event?
Very much looking forward to this one for sure! 2 previous tornaments there was 2nd and a 1st! Playing the Silver & Reds, then the Silver and Blues.
A tiers are a minimum of 54 holes.
Thanks Mike
I'm trying to figure out who Patrick Johnson is?
2 events at Sinnissippi, that is awesome.
Its nice to see Rockford really stepping up too. I think I'll try and make it to the doubles event.
Thanks to the ILL TD's and Brett. I just wish the PDGA would update the tour date section already. I don't know why the A-tiers are not up yet.
I cannot wait and winter just started. ::)

there's a good chance that I'm going to bump West Park to September, but I'm still trying to find out when Jericho is going to have their paddle boat rental facility installed. I definitely don't want to run a tournament while they are having that done. Since I ran Jericho in August in 2009, I'd like to try to stay semi-consistent.
Brett,
Jesse is having the Channahon Classic 9/25 & 926.

What site can I click on to see the most updated schedule for 2010 Tourneys? Keep getting kicked out when I click on the original site. (I'm now registered on the Discontinuum site).
Thanks. I almost had one of these... O0
The first post on this thread has an attachment which is the current plan for Illinois PDGA tourneys in 2010. It does not include unsanctioned events (like the FVM Ice Bowl on 2/13 at Aurora).

I'm trying to figure out who Patrick Johnson is?
I get that a lot.
I play in Darrin and Jesse's J-Town Doubles league. Love the Joliet area courses, especially Channahon and Highland Park. (both of which kick my butt).
I also sell and custom stamp discs.
Now........I'm trying to figure out who Dana is?
By the way, pre-registration is up for
Chain Reaction - June 26th & 27th at Channahon
Deuces Wild - July 10th & 11th at Westpark and Highland Park.
Website address is www.acesandchains.com.

Alton, IL
Rock Springs Park Event
Oswego ( B ) is the same weekend as River Cities Rumble (A). 200 miles is the required distance between A tier and B tier. Oswego to Davenport is 136 miles.
technically Davenport is in Iowa, so the distance thing i dont think would apply.
http://www.pdga.com/files/documents/TourStandards.pdf
Table 5. Don't think different states has anything to do with disctance. Maybe Brett knows.
Adam is right on the table and those are the distances the PDGA has set for a quideline.
Over the years it is becoming increasingly harder to schedule events in Illinos and i'm sure the surrounding states of IA, WI, & MI have similar issues.
This winter the PDGA sent out the dates of NT's and A-Tiers. I did not see the RCR on that document or on the PDGA tour page.
When saying yes or no to events I do not check to see what is going on in other states. It's almost impossible to avoid some type of conflict. My major concern is to offer every IL event it's exclusive day or weekend when possible within the state line.
It's not your responsibility is it? I thought the PDGA had to approve of sanctioning?

I approve the sanctioning of any B and C tier in Illinois. The PDGA handles all A Tiers and NT's.
