Scott will have registration open soon on his website. I received the 1st mail in today.
can we give our entry fees to Rich at Chains or does it have to be threw discontinuum
I'm working on getting the pre-reg page up right now. I wouldn't give it to Rich - it's just a sponsorship, not an aid in administrating registrations.
Pre-Registration for this event is now online via the following link:
Pre-Register Here (http://www.paperorplasticsports.com/2010/2010cac.html)
That's the only link to the pre-reg at the moment - once I get the rest of the Pre-Registrations rolling you'll be able to access it from the Tournaments page of my site.

Rich of ChainsDiscGolf.com informed me he is donating 4 DGA Mini Baskets for 1st place trophies of each division.
Check out the link to the basket information.

Register today! There is a max of 100 spots. This event is going to fill.
Awesome course with great temp holes.
Trophies for Top 5 in each division.
$20 Pick your own player pack.
CTP's
Great selection of discs.
Attached is a copy of the trophies.
Tentative course map attached.
I will have these holes temporaily marked a week prior to the event. They will be very clearly maked on the Friday afternoon before the event.
1A-> Tee is on the asphalt road. Hole plays down the gravel road into a hole in the woods. This hole is wide open until the green. The pin will be heavily guarded. Plays around 250ft.
1B-> Tee is on the north side of the road in the grass. Rubber Tee Pad. 550 feet but plays longer since it's slightly uphill. This is a good par 4 with risk/reward. On & Over the road to the left is OB. You can play your tee shot safe under the tree or thru the gap avoiding the road. This will make your 2nd shot much tougher. A lefty has an advantage off this tee. As a righty if you throw a big anhyzer for distance the road and tree line come into play. If you get a booming drive off you are going to be in good position (100 to 150ft) for an upshot.
1C-> This hole is 280 to 300ft. Rubber Tee. It plays slightly downhill with a solid fairway. If you don't throw it staright you'll find some trouble. A right handed player will have to throw something that will hold its line and not hyzer out to get a solid birdie attempt.
1D-> I'd guess this hole is 250 to 270ft. There is a nice anhyzer route thru the woods to a nice open green.
1E-> I'd guess this hole is 230 to 250ft. This is a slightly uphill shot thru a pretty tight fairway. The basket is going to be just off the fairway to the left side. The green is going to be well protected and a tricky one to get a putt. A nice straight shot that gently fades left is perfect. If you come up short or gack a drive there is some HEAVY rough! I cleaned up a few dead limbs under the pines. This is where the basket will be placed.
1F-> I'd guess this hole is 200 to 220ft. Dead straight ace run down the alley of pines. The road is directly on the other side of the trees to the left. If you miss left you have a good chance at going onto or over the road OB. Pretty heavy rough to the right and left. This is one of those putter holes you are thinking I have to birdie this hole then absolutely blow up when you take a 4 on it due to a bad shot and not able to scramble for par.
6A-> Short hole. 180 to 200ft I plan on something special here. Possibly an island green or elevated basket.
9A--330ish..Big anhyzer shot down to the monument. Tee will be in grass to the right of the grassy burm. Rubber Tee.
9B--450ish Par 4. Drive up the trail to the opening. Upshot to the left into the woods. The basket will be placed near the hole with the big log in it. Hard 3 to get! Gotta have good drive & upshot.
9C--Par 4. Semi open fairway with scattered trees. Long drive with solid upshot to take 3. Rubber Tee.
9D--280ish downhill. Tee on top sled hill. Basket on the bottom of the hill about 30ft in front of the fence.
9E--300ish uphill. Pavillion, sidwalk, and parking lot OB. Heavy rough/woods on the right. Tight green area. Rubber Tee.
Guy was out taking pictures of the park on Monday for the New Sun and I brought up that there's a tournament at Adler soon so hopefully the paper comes out soon
Having a chance to play these alternate holes is reason enough to play this event. It is the one time during the year when Adler becomes the 21 hole course that it should be.
I'm excited to play alternate tees at Adler....it's been a while :)
is the course closed to the public ?

I will be taking registrations the next 2 Tuesdays at Adler League.
sorry I can't be at this.
after sons Sophomore baseball season, the VARSITY Coach asked him to play legion ball, to help ready him for Junior year. So after playing 21 high school games, we have to cram in 43 more games between tomorrow and July 17th :o. Almost every weekend he plays Sat and Sun doubleheaders. 64 baseball games for a 16 yr old, is way to many. That's over a 3rd of a major league season. crazy!!
I got one of the worst ways to miss this....ACT :'(

I'm pretty sure the tourney course is way better than the old frisbee lids course that used to be there. Discs have changed and people are better at disc golf. But all I know about the old course is wat ive heard and read.
I just placed a stock Discraft order that should arrive in time for Libertyville. I forget who was asking me about the Breeze at the A-Tier, but that disc is no longer available. I only ordered 5 Glides (again for those couple people that were asking). I was surprised to see that only Z-Wasps are made now, no more ESP. So I ordered 10 Z's, hopefully enough to wet the appetite of the Wasp throwers. I was completely out otherwise! They had stock on max weight Pro-D Ringers as well, the new putters, so I have 10 of those on the way too.

Great placement for the alt holes. I think if you play it cool with the alts and play aggressive with the regular 9, you'll get a higher score. Here's to hoping the damn rain stays away though

Looking at the weather, it looks like scattered thunderstorms later on Saturday. Good chance any potential precipitation holds off til after the tournament.
For those who didn't play this last year, the course setup for this event is fantastic. For this 1 day Adler becomes a super fun ~20 hole course. Don't miss out on your only chance to play this layout. Sign up now.
cant wait to play
I cant drive over 4 hours to play golf in a park that I can't smoke at.
I will go ahead and pick the Advanced winner though. In a LANDSLIDE,,,,,, Taylor Cimala

Nelson wouldn't beat Taylor anyway. ;D

I don't think Doug Buettgen got your memo that he was supposed get dominated in a landslide.
actually went to Peru Indiana to play in the rain.
Yea, the was some hot shooting. Congrats Doug B.
Funny thing is, I pm'd Taylor, telling him I hope I didn't jynx him :o Sorry Taylor
Thanks Brett and Chainsdiscgolf.com!
This mini basket is flippin' sweet!
Doug B.
First, I want to thank Rich of Chainsdiscgolf.com If you have not visited Chains in Crystal Lake get out there!
Rich added some awesome value to this event. 2 CTP's for $15. 2nd Place of all 4 divisions won a $30 certificate. 1st place of each division won a DGA mini basket. What an awesome 1st place trophy!!!!!
Hopefully everyone enjoyed the course. It sucks that it had to rain on Friday afternoon then again Saturday morning. It was looking so good Friday morning. I really think the additional holes make it one of the best courses in the Chicagoland area.
I want to thank everyone who made this event happen. It takes a small army to run an event and set up 12 temps. Thanks to everyone involved that helped make this happen!
Thanks for putting everything together Brett, those temp holes were sweet and thanks to Chains for the awesome sponsorship! I know my family and I really enjoyed our first tournament experience and can't wait for the next one.
I had a good time and got to meet some people that really love disk golf. The course was setup nice.
Best deal I ever seen at a tourny. :)
Can't wait to play the next one.
Thanks Brett, Discontiuum, and Chains, as my brother said it was a great first tournament experience.
I wish Adler could be permanently set up like that, it was a fun and challenging course, I really agree with Brett, that layout could be best course in the Chicagoland area.
Thanks again everyone.
Thanks to everyone for hosting another great tournament! I had a lot of fun out there despite the rain. :toothy10:
