Title: PDGA Amateur World Doubles Championships
Post by: KenGmoney1 on February 04, 2010, 02:45:48 PM
I just bought my airline tickts and registered for this event today.

Has anybody played this event or the courses at the Circle R Ranch in Wimberley TX?

what  a great team. You 2 should do just fine. What a pair to represent Illinois. Good luck you 2.

We fly out to TX tomorrow morning.  I read in the rules that all cactus beds are casual, not the IL golf we are used to!

Shoot it up guys! I'm excited for you to be out there, that's awesome. I believe that Dave said you guys were staying in Austin for part of it, so let me know if you want some food recommendations.

We made it to Texas today and made a stop at the Alamo before heading to the course.  We met John Houck when we got there, he was riding around the course.  We played one of the two courses, I am not sure which one it was.  We played a round of doubles with some guys from Saginaw TX. There is a really cool hole with a waterfall, i think hole 7. Dave hit an ace on it. I tried to attach a picture.
