Title: 2010 Memorial
Post by: Dan Michler on March 01, 2010, 10:38:54 AM
I'm happy to see the disc golf season finally firing back up.  I hate winter in Illinois.

Is anybody paying to watch the Memorial Live coverage?  It'll be interesting to see how this year starts off.  Last year Nikko got his 1st big win which ended up leading to a lot more big wins throughout the year.  Barry got yet another Las Vegas title last week (his 6th Vegas win).  I'm sure he really enjoyed beating the young kids Nikko and Devan Owens by a stroke.  He typically does well in these spring events for whatever reason, so I'd look for him to be on the lead card on Saturday with Nikko again.

Good luck to Dave Naspinski who is registered in the Am divsion in Arizona.

Yea, I payed the $10 too.  I love watching disc golf.  It'll be good to see the improvements from the USDGC broadcast.  Plus,  maybe I can win some of those raffle prizes, even though I'll be at school during most of the LIVE broadcast.   :P

I wasn't sure how much I was going to be around to watch so I haven't paid. Looking forward to playing some events. I'm actually heading out to play today for my first round of the year.

I was going to pay the $10 to watch. But then I found some work to do in our Phoenix plant so I am going to go to the tournament instead. Going to catch some spring training action as well.

I am under the impression that it is archived so you can watch it any time you want.

Yes, it is.  If it wasn't archived I would not have paid.

Bastid.  >:D

Try to get just enough work done to 'justify' that trip....

I think it was worth the $10 just to watch Nikko today.

Paul and Nikko made some nice puts to finish the round!

Is anyone watching this today?  Barry Schultz will apparently be a DNF.  The PDGA message board says that he broke his hand, possibly in warm ups or on the first hole.

I watched on and off today, saw my friend Tony go OB but it was super windy and it was the am side, so wasn't as fun to watch as yesterday.

Josh has thrown these crazy record breaking rounds late in the tourney like 3 times now!  Worlds, USDGC, and now the Memorial.  Crazy stuff

Dave Naspinski is tied for 6th with about 2 other people going into the third and final round!   Any of the three have a chance to break into the top!

The pros had very little wind at Fountain Hills yesterday. That explains the hot rounds a lot.

It was insane watching Ken(44) and Josh(41) shoot those rounds on the same card. There was some really good golf yesterday from the top players.

Both courses have very nice layouts. Thumbs up to the temp designs. Lots of OB and Water in play. Long challenging holes. The only thing missing is the trees. But this is Arizona.

The final round should be really exciting. There are some crazy winds in the forecast later today. Up to 23mph gusts.

It was not as windy as had been predicted. It actually tried to rain for about 10 minutes. It was a good time. I met a lot of really nice people.
