Every year I lead a disc golf ride for the Evanston Bike Club, www.evanstonbikeclub.org
The ride is Sunday, August 1 at 9am. We will ride at a very easy pace of about 10-12 mph from the Chandler Neuberger Center in Evanston up to the 9 holer at Watts Park in Glencoe. The ride will be just under 20 miles round trip. Chandler is between Central and Lincoln by the Central L stop and Evanston Hospital. There is street parking on Lincoln. This ride will be kind of easy for the cyclists and the course is kind of easy for the disc golfers. Its a good opportunity for cyclists to learn to throw and for throwers to get to ride. Depending on who shows up I always leave open the option to ride further up and play the Fink course on Clavey rd. as well. Cross training is good! Come ride with us.

What a awesome event David! Wish we were closer, me and the wife would ride along with our tandem. Sounds like a ton of fun. How many people are in that bike club and how long have you been doing this David?
The bike club had a lot of other rides scheduled on Sunday so I only had four riders/players. One took pictures and the other two played. They both had pretty good snap and did pretty well for first time players. Pictures are in the link.

Looks like you guys had a good time. You need to have some 3D photos of your rides though! ;)
Have you had the hot dog ride yet? If you need a photographer for that ride, let me know. If I'm available I'll take pictures for you guys.

The Hot Dog Ride is 9-25. No IOS that day! I have gone to Hot Dougs, Superdawg and Poochies the past few years. Howeverr, the line at Hot Dougs is so long I am considering a different stop. Last year we went there, saw the line and just kept riding towards Superdawg. It would be great to get your photos. 3D shots of hot dog eating could be scary. By the way, this Saturday I am leading the John Hughes Ride. we go to a variety of locations on the North Shore from the John Hughes movies including the famous Home Alone house. My arm is dead right now so i have been doing a bit more riding and have really been unable to throw for any distance without pain. I tried to emulate Diana and threw 9 holes right handed. it was pretty comical at first. I eventually got to the point where I could get 4's on most holes at Fink right handed.

Dave,
I really wanted to take pictures at the Hot Dog Ride this year but that is the date of the Chicagoland Marching Band Festival at Wheeling High School and I'm on parking lot duty. I always volunteer to work the whole day so I won't be able to make it.
We will just have to meet a Poochies or the new Superdawg in your neck of the woods. I am replacing Hot Doug's with a place called Murphy's on Belmont. Doug's line is always too long. Sorry you can't make it. Post some video of the Wheeling marching band.

You can find Wheeling Marching Band video there that I took in the last week. I hope to put some footage from IOS @ Fairfield there also.
I like the new Superdawg in Wheeling. I like the car service but the servers should be wearing roller skates!
