Greetings Fellow Frolfers. Back in January and February I was flooding the disc golf forums with news of a course that we were creating at Wildlife Prairie Park just outside of Peoria. Well, after much hard work and several major distractions we are proud to announce our first tourney! In an attempt to raise awareness of the course and to help pay for baskets we will be premiering the course on Sunday November 7th. Registration is $10.00 per player and the tourney will have a staggered start beginning at 12:00 noon. Registration closes at 1:00. There will be no cash payouts but trophies and prizes will be awarded. Online registration should be available by Oct 23 at getmeregistered.com

We will be using the PFC baskets for this event. The park is in better shape financially but still on an uber tight budget so we haven't been able to purchase baskets yet. We will be playing the front 9 only, 1 rd from whites and 1 rd from golds in a bring your own partner doubles format. We have been working hard to get the front 9 playable with a few sets of stairs in key areas and a mile of fairways cleared of small trees and some very large fallen trees. work will continue on the rest of the course over the winter and hopefully we will be able to start putting baskets in the ground next spring. Baskets are expensive though and we need all the support we can get. The park looked to discgolf as a way to help secure their future, now we need to show them our appreciation by helping with the financials. The algae has died off from the water and the lakes look sweet! This is a great time to come down and enjoy the fall views.
