I got my weekly PDGA newsletter and it had a link to happenings in Chambana. I clicked the link to a Daily Illini article with a picture of Sayer getting ready to tee off. http://www.dailyillini.com/node/44755 It looks like the moniker Frolfing Illini has been updated and they are now called Illini Disc Golf.

Does anybody else have an intense hatred of the term 'frolf', as I do?
yes
I don't think that there is that much hate in the world. The term is ridiculous.
i refuse to acknowledge the term.
Sweet picture Sayer!
i do not like disK golf
frolf is a term to dumb it down so people grasp the concept
summer of george reference usually gets the uninformed to nod
then explain it is a discUS we throw not a frisbee
Like I said in the Lohmann thread...Thanks for the kind words guys I had no idea that the DI was out there covering that small "tournament" (if you could even call it that) that they held on homecoming weekend. Case and I are planning on working closely with the club to improve on the course and try pushing to get a 9 holer on campus so that we can introduce even more people to the sport. We are also looking to organize an upper-lower pool random doubles league out at Lohmann come spring time.
I am glad to see the "Frolfing Illini" name gone. I use the word Frolf to explain to outsiders what disc golf actually is because its easier to understand. At the same time, I would never want to be part of a group of disc golfers that called themselves the Frolfing Illini, I feel it gives off the vibe that they don't really understand the sport.
