Title: Toughest QB in NFL
Post by: pdga#7648 on December 06, 2010, 02:05:01 PM
Probably have to say Favre since his streak is almost at 300 games started in a row, BUT......

Like him or hate him, Big Ben is 1 tough SOB. He went into last nights game vs Baltimore( one of the most physical teams in the league ) with a broken bone in his plant foot. Then on the 1st series, he took a left jab to the face, that broke his nose( no flag??? HUH )  but still played the entire game, and pulled out the win after trailing the whole game( paybacks are a bitch huh Ravens? )   He swats defensive linemen away like he's King Kong ( ask Terrell Suggs )
He may not know how to ride a motorcycle, or how to act out in public bars, but dude can play the game of football. He turned Pittsburgh from a running game into a passing game, while winning 2 Superbowls within 5 years.

If anyone saw the game. Are you still asking where was the flag on Ben's punch to the nose, and the violent hit on  Heath Miller? Had Harrison hit Flacco like that, a suspension would be coming for sure. Don't just protect Brady, Manning, and the other whiners. Rules should apply to ALL QB's!! Every QB is as important to his team as the next guy.

You have to be tough to play in the NFL period, and if I would have taken the hit that Roethlisberger took last night I would still be rolled up in a ball on the field with my arms around my knees rocking back and forth. That said.... Roethlisberger has played one full season in seven NFL seasons. He may be tough, but he isn't that durable.
