Figured if we were going to talk about them, might as well get out of the Bears thread.
If I heard ESPN correctly, this is the 1st time in history 2 different divisional teams are meeting for the 3rd time, and all 4 games are a rematch of a regular season game. Pretty interesting. Besides the Patriots/Jets, all 3 of the other games were decided by 3 points. Actually 4 games. Pitt lost 17-14, then beat Balt 13-10.
The Bears have already been talked about. Let's look at the other 3 games, staying in the NFC.
Green Bay @ Atlanta
Atlanta already won 20-17 in the 1st matchup.
Ryan threw for under 200 yds, with a TD. Turner ran for 110yds, and a TD
Rodgers threw for 344 yds, just 1 TD, but ran for 51 yds, and another score.
I know Atlanta is remarkable at home with Ryan at QB, but Green Bay is playing very good football right now. If Atlanta gets a lead, I really don't know if playing just 6 days earlier, on the road, then having to travel again, if Green Bay will have enough to make a comeback. But I think Green Bay will hold Turner under 100 yds, and Ryan will struggle with that fast defense. I like Green Bay to win this rematch..... Pack 31 Falcons 27.
Jets @ Patriots
I really think Ryan and Cromartie made HUGE mistakes again. Ryan, last game said the Patriots would get his best. They then went and got blasted 45-3. Cromartie now called Brady an asshole, and said he don't give a damn about the guy.
Open mouth and insert foot New York. Enjoy the week #2 win way back when, but start thinking about next year. Wont be the ass whoopin you took last time, but a loss is a loss..... Pats 38 Jets 17
Balt @ Pitt ROUND #3
With Ben sitting out the last game of his suspension, a Charlie Batch team led 14-10 with 0.42 seconds to play, only to see Flacco throw a game winning TD to Whosyourmomma. If not for Polamalus game changing sack/forced fumble, Pitt could easily be 0-2 on the year. But then again they could be 2-0.
That being said, I know Flacco is 0-4 @ Pittsburgh when Ben is at QB, and that Ben is 8-2 in his career VS Balt, winning 6 in a row. A healthy Ben and Troy is probably to much for Balt, but that defense can change a game in a heartbeat. Whoever wins the turnover battle probably wins the game. With one of the most intense matchups anytime they suit up, this game will be great to watch for ANY football fan. Love em or hate em, these 2 teams know how to play defense.
My honest opinion, Bens deep threat Wallace has his best game vs Balt, and the lead is too much for Balt to overcome.
Pitt 27 Balt 16
Sorry guys, just bored. Thought I would give Dan and Tom a good laugh.
not going to win too many games turning the ball over 2 times inside your own 20, then give up TD's and not FG's.
Glad the beer's are tasting good ;)
whew, what a game. will be on ESPN CLASSIC next week gauranteed!!
Cmon New York!!!!!!!
Packers looking very strong Tom. Neither team left has a chance in my eyes. But what do I know huh?
I remember a Steeler team being the #6 seed and beating the #1, #2, and #3 to then Win the Superbowl. Let's see a repeat!!
cmon JETS, any score here makes it a 2 TD lead with time running out!
