Or, better yet, you would need to enclose your address in the UltraBoard code for a URL -
[ url="http://www.foo.com/bar"]Link Name[/url ]
On the left side of the compose/reply box there is a link for valid UltraBoard codes.
*note - I had to put a space between the front and end brackets in order for that to not appear as a hyperlink....
My site is free & very easy to maintain. A monkey could operate a web page on tripod.com It does suck having all the pop-ups and advertiesements. If I had to pay for it, I would have never done it. You can make changes from any computer that you are able to login into.
Your referring to Brett's home page and not this site right?
Brett's page is hosted on a free server where you pay nothing. In return you have to deal with advertisements being placed on your site by the host, pop-ups, bad page design tools etc... but it is free, so not that bad of a deal.
In terms of functionailty, if all your doing is throwing some pics up and course descriptions then is a fine option. And anywhere you have an interent connection you can update the site. And ususally as often as you like.
Feel free to ask if you have any more questions.
There are more books than you can imagine. But yahoo, tripod, and other sites like that usually offer a basic wysiwyg(what you see is what you get) editor. So you don't have to know any html to get your site online. If Brett can do it anyone can :D Just kidding Brett we love ya.
Seriously though, unless your paying for hosting and want to do some in depth stuff you don't need a book. If you want one though do a search on Amazon there are literally hundreds of them out there.
Cost, I would say free. Do I win?
As for why the address wont work in the world of the web there is no such thing as a blank space in urls.... your web address is acctually www.channelzdj.com/Red% 20Roc.htm Without a space in between the % and the 20. I would change your web url to be either RedRoc or Red_Roc. You also won't have issuses posting the url then either.
theres got to be
web sites for dummies book
right
yes
bretts site
theres no way to duplicate
greatness of this site
http://www.channelzdj.com/Red Roc.htm

why wont the whole address go
lets try this
