Title: Bevier Update
Post by: CEValkyrie on September 03, 2003, 07:53:06 PM
Now that all 3 holes are complete & the course is looking great, does anyone want to take some pictures to get on the web. Jon, want to put that new camera to good use? The pics on there now must have been taken in the fall because there are no leaves on the tree.

Space on the site, no problem. I don't know how friendly we could make it.... Beth uploads ~30 second long clips that we take with our camera to our picture site & they typically are 1-2MB, okay for broadband but dialup folks will just have to wait.

Isn't 240' roughly where we want to put that alternate pin placement?

Updated the pages for holes 1-9 @ Bevier with the current distances.

This thread is closed, if there are more Bevier-related updates please create a new topic if there isn't a relevant topic already open.

Hey crazy Brett, we remeasured for last year's Blast, silly. We put them on the tourney map/schedule. I'll dig one up and post 'em.

i'm all over it.

BTW, total feet for all 36 holes = 9151.

Average length of a hole (alll 36 holes) = 254.2 ft.

jay/mirth, can you please add for the blast:

Adrian Gutierrez Sr. - Advanced (paying cash to me)

Adrian Gutierrez Jr. (under 17) (paying cash to me)

Also, Brett or Jon, can you please either forward the last DISContinuum E-Newsletter to folks who gave you emails at the IL Open, or send them an email telling them that the Blast in one week from tomorrow and they should pre-register NOW?!?!

Or you can send me all those emails and I'll do it. whatever.  i just want to make sure EVERYONE knows about the blast.

THANKS!

Jim,

The map needs to be updated with B1, B2, & B3. I posted a message on the PDGA DISCussion & course message date bank. Will you send in an update to the PDGA Course Directory & spice up the description.

Thanks

I saw that discussion on the pdga message board. I had no problems getting Fairfield updated. Cliff just e-mailed me to verify that Fairfield had no signs.

Jon,

I really don't care what we do. You are much better with technology than me. I think it would be cool to have a video clip of each hole. I just hate seeing our home course page looking kind of lame. Pictures would be good as well.

I am remeasuring all holes. Of the 9 cements, only #9 was off by a bunch. The rest were within +/- 3 Feet. Once some of the alternates are finalized, I will be measuring them as well.

Steve,

The sign says #9 is 240FT. It is 284FT. Wonder who did that measuring?

I forgot to measure to the front of the creek but i'm sure it's right around 240.

Brett, did you want new pictures of every hole? Alts also? I was thinking it'd be cool to do a couple of video "fly bys" on select holes. Would there be room to put that on the web site? Could someone put the video in an on-line friendly format--whatever that maybe?

E-mail Cliff?  Shouldn't you start a thread at PDGA.com flaming someone for that?

Hey Brett, I noticed a typo on the PDGA listing for Fairfield - your email addr is misspelled (they left off the first 'c')

Brett,

Out of curiosity, how much was it off by?  I assume it is longer than what is listed?  I thought the sign on 9 said 250 or something like that.  I always thought it seemed off and just wanted to know what it really was.

Thanks!
