It looks like Dana is tied with Nick Austin. Also noticed some Iowa/Wisconsin players. Naspinski is playing in the am division, and I think he's around 20th.
Anyone see that spotter take that drive to the dome on 18 yesturday! Holy Hell!
Yeah, I didn't think he was going to get up after that. He was out cold for a few seconds. Of all the people to get hit by, he gets hit by the guy that can throw 700.
who hit him?
Garrett Guthrie.
I just grabbed this screenshot while they were interviewing him earlier.

That is going to be quite a black eye.
Just saw Naspinski throw a great drive on #1 and land about 2' from the water. Nice birdie Dave!
Black eye, gonna have a nice scar. Had to go get stiched up.
so whats the ruling on that? i take it that a spotter is considered apart of the course and is 'techncqlly' a course obstacle. so GG would have to play the shot.
That's the ruling. Last I looked, you could get a rethrow for intentional interference by an opponent. Otherwise, you play it from the point of interference.
My experience with the streaming video coverage of the Memorial was that the video would frequently freeze while the audio would continue. Rarely both would cut out. Did other people have this problem? It was most noticeable when a player would step up for a big putt, the video would freeze and you had to wait for the sound of the chains to get a sense of what happened.
That's generally the case when something is being streamed and the bitrate of the stream is too high for your connection.
besides the sun spot issues my quality was spot on. an occasional pixel blur but thats it. they have made vast improvements from just a yr ago. and i was defintely happy to see they used the donation money to buy more equipment. it looks like they added 2-3 more hole cameras. i gave them more donation money just based on that fact (tells me were the $ is going)/

I cleaned off the phone handset and pushed it firmly into the suction cups on the modem so the connection should have been good.... Seriously, my DSL pro account usually doesn't have trouble streaming, for example Netflix movies. Good to hear other people were having a high quality stream.
Ron
Ron,
I had the same issue on the T1 at work. I quickly figured out that if the video ever froze all I had to do was refresh the page and it was fine again. So it was a streaming issue. It got to the point that every time my video froze, I would just hit refresh without thinking about it.
Three days of live broadcast with only one real problem, the solar flare that messed up yhe connection when the open women were on hole 18 I thought it was the best live broadcast for disc golf that I have seen yet.
I hope they keep it going, I made a donation.
I thoroughly enjoyed the coverage and I am looking forward to the next offerring from discgolfplanet.tv
its nice to recognize the holes they are playing
