If I get all 32 players first place will take home $300 cash.
There will be more dates to get qualified (seeded). The last day to qualify will be the day before the tournament. If you can make it to Kewanee on a day that I'm not available, send me a message and I'll try to get one of the locals to walk with you for a qualifying round... or two.

On a side note: Baker Park in Kewanee is getting a new course and it's shaping up to be very challenging. Current status is that 17 of the baskets are in and six tees are poured with six more being poured tomorrow. So course should be complete by June at the latest.
Here is the current list of registered players and their seed with their best round after their name.

After talking to my brother last night, he said it would be ok with him if somebody wanted to register the day of and get seeded that morning, he would walk with you while you qualify. So you would have to be there around 7ish if thats the route you want to take. Or you can throw no qualifying round and take the highest avaiable seed.
Got the players pack finalized. You'll be getting a golf towel with the tournament logo on it. If you pre reg by July 5th, you will also get your last name or nickname on the towel.
Also thinking of doing a $3 you pick it CTP. If you get into it, you write down what hole you would like the ctp to be on and whatever hole gets the most votes will be the ctp hole. I'm going with $3 so if you get into the $2 ace fund also you can just hand over $5 and get into both... trying to keep it simple.
is it still just the 19 players you got listed Zach? or will it be a full field of 32?
I'm up to 21 players now with one of the players above having dropped. I'm hoping to get more registrations once the Hopedale tournament is over, seems like there is a lot of focus on that tournament... at least in the Peoria and B/N area.
So get the word out, lets get the last 11 players.
Here is the list of OB and course changes you will be playing for the Cup. Bold numbered holes have some significant changes.
1. Playing to a temp basket located about 40 feet behind the original basket and about 10-15 to the left. There will be a mando (for safety) to the right of the tree in the middle of the fairway.
2. The street behind the basket and over the fence on the right side and back right corner of fairway.
3. The street to the right of the fairway and the baseball diamond.
4. There will be a defined fairway painted along both sides. Keep it in the middle and you should have no problems.
5. The street to the right of the fairway and the mud volleyball pits
6. The street to the right of the fairway. The mud volleyball pits will be OB as well but that would have to be one seriously bad case of early release.
7. Landing on any concrete and on top of the shelter
8. Just the streets are OB
9. You will play to a temp basket located in between the third and fourth horseshoe pit and just to the right. The sand volleyball court will be OB and any concrete. The gravel driveway is NOT OB.
10. Any concrete and on top of the shelter.
11. Island hole! No island hit... you take stroke penalty and play from the Drop Zone.
12. Baseball diamond. I'll paint a line where the fence is missing to make it easier to determine if you are or are not OB.
Subject to change.
Updated pre-reg/seed list. Have 7 spots left.
I'll be in Kewanee around 2 on Friday, if you would like to shoot a qualifying round feel free to come by at any time after 2.
Is there any interest in this event from any players from the Chicagoland area? Would love to have you come down and play.
Im interested, but its also the same day as the Pros for Indiana State Championships, as well as a local tournament out of Joliet
Indiana St. kept me from this as well. Too many sanctioned events on that day. should have planned around sanctioned events, and it would have been a full event by now. would have loved to play in a mtch play event :-[ maybe next year?
Indiana State Championships Pros and Joliet Dueces Wild are listed as being played Sunday according to Pdga.com, Players Cup is Saturday. Thats cool, I'll continue to post in case anybody does decide to come down.
Doug
I planned this back in February, it's hard to know when sanctioned events are going to pop up... especially at bordering states. Maybe next year I'll try to get this sanctioned.
no big deal Zach. just wanted you to understand why I had to back out. nothing personal in anyway. I always try to make the events in our area, as long as they dont conflict with any pdga events. I pay my dues each year to the pdga for a reason, and that is to play sanctiioned events. I just wish the PFC or local clubs would run more events that are sanctioned. Fundraisers are good here and there, but not 1 every month. The courses don't need much improvement, if any?? I know of at least 10 locals who would love more sanctioned events. it's not just me.
and next year I will be there sanctioned or not. I have to get my 1,000 points this year to get the invite to Worlds next year. I want that invitation to the event I plan on competing for the title in, as an Am Master ;D
I hope you guys have a full field and a great day. good luck to all participating. I will see ya soon at either Hopedale, leagues, or Hog Days.

Am worlds never fills, basically anyone can sign up after the qualified people do or don't.
that's not the point Steven. I want to be invited to the tourny!
and 2 of the 3 Worlds I have participated in 1995 and 2009 were the largest ever at the time. don't want to take the chance of missing out. will be 39 playing in the Masters Division ;D
I don't think a pro worlds ever filled and it did this year. Next year could be the largest worlds ever. I want to go but at this pace i'm not going to get invited. I may pay the price for that.
Thank you to everybody that came out and played. I hope you all had a good time.
Congratulations to Spencer Wilken for winning the Players Cup.
