I just read on the PDGA site that there is no smoking of any kind during tournament play at both the Pro and Am World Championships this year. WOW!
I think a lot of the no smoking rule has to do with how dry those courses will be when worlds is going on. I have played those courses in late summer and it's super dry
The "official" reason is of course, the kids. I think it's a good decision, especially for Worlds where there will be plenty of cameras rolling.
