Actually got a call about this project last week.
dana , I sent you my # on the private messages
thoughts on what they are looking for help wise ?
I am 100 % available to them as a resource
I have 9 baskets of varied types that can be used as a test set up
and access to more ( benefits of club memberships )
I grew up on this golf course and it's a shame it;'s going to be developed
but 9 in the ground is better than none
I've only talked to my buddy, who is close to the project. If I learn of anything, I'll let you know. Everything is still quite early in the developing stages...
I did strongly suggest 18 holes vs 9 holes though..
very early indeed
chicago residents east of the proposed development
which would be east of the green land EP kept
are not happy (traffic , water runoff, quality of life )
with the developer at this time
it will be interesting to see
how this pans out
its a shame that all that land is silent now
wish i had 8 million dollars , i would so buy that land
i pm's u my # , give it 2 ur bud
I have set up me only play courses
at 11800 S Oakley ( 1 block east of westen)
Kennedy park 11300 western
and Dan ryan 8900 western
Seems like the development side has started some work
some pics on face book already
crazy destruction of a great piece of land
we could have had 100 acres of prime disc golf land for 8 million
I'm currently trying to see if it is a possibility of running an event there this spring/early summer....

some other ideas for you
Dana > any chance that we can find out what it would cost
to sponsor the naming of the course
my friends and i have a suggestion to name after a friend of ours
from the Evergreen Park HS class of 1984
who passed of cancer at 18 years old
any news on this that can be shared ?
any blurbs of news on this potential course ?

cement tees will make this a must play course !
cement being poured !
still a diamond in the rough,
but getting there
several tees done, several still under construction
Big cement tees !
Apparently there is a wear your shirt policy.
:naka:
Looking for some info on the Evergreen Park course:
Is there only one set of concrete tees? If so, are they the short or the long?
Are there signs by both tees? If not, which tee are they at?
Thanks in advance.
Short and long are in, no long for 4. Tee signs in , long 2 footage is incorrect
and short 17 backwards but otherwise course is playable , after 11 go east to 12 not west to 15
Was out there Monday they were pouring cement path around pond could not play to the 18 basket..
every thing else is like airspuds said.
Also go digreview site for other infro. hole #1 starts along the golf fence walk around the dog park
to the left from the paring lot. Have Fun
Thanks guys! I'm heading out there Sunday morning. A new to me course should make a nice father's day treat. :)
Dont speed thru any of the towns. Stop at every stop sign , really trust me , stop at each one. Call brian cummings and let him know what you think.
Tues , it was raining, so i didnt see the walkin path.
