Title: Well...
Post by: myndcraft on September 09, 2002, 08:44:48 AM
It was the first week of leagues and most went well. I took first due to the hard work (read all the work) of Brett :-) And thanks to 2 shots at CTP I managed to win it. What luck I had that hot Sunday morning, but at what cost one might ask. Did I sell my soul to the devil? Nay. Perhaps take up sorcery? Again nay. No my friends I lost 3 discs that morning. Not one or two, but three.

3 is the number of the discs I lost and the number of the discs lost shall be 3. Thou shalt not lose not 1 disc or 2 unless thou shalt then be proceeding to lose a third.

Anyways Disc #1. Hole 5 club-stamped Firebird. Last seen being eaten by the big tree just to the right of center of the fairway. Suspects: Tree and the Green Man. Motives. Tree mad at me for hitting so many times previous. Green Man, wanted to go home.

Disc #2. Again hole 5 this time I apparently thought I was throwing a Dragon, so the water seemed like a good idea. Alas though I wasn't throwing a Dragon, instead I had thrown a CE-Valk.

Disc #3. A new hole this time number 9. The disc DX-Valk, the place water in the vicinity of the bridge and willow tree.

So my friends that is the price you pay for luck such as mine. So if anyone happens to feel like climbing a tree or wading in water please keep a look out for the above.

Thanks

Oh and when driving on 9, I pulled the disc across to high and gashed my neck, where I now have a pretty little abrasion that looks like a hickey, but hurts. Good thing I wasn't using a metal disc, like the PDGA has approved.

Jay,

I have your Firebird. It was under the 2nd tree. Not the big one. It was laying on the ground this afternoon. Must have blown down today. I will give it to you at the blast. 2 more to find but I think the water gods have those!

Put them in my car last night! The WIZARD is a GREAT Disc. I really like the feel of it. It is really different from the AVIAR. It feels much heavier & the plastic is much harder. In the wind I feel much more comfortable putting with it.

I've done the same or worse:

One day I bought 4 new discs at Sports Authority, went to throw 9 at Bevier and lost 3 of those brand new ones. What's this about a metal disc being approved? Tell me you're kidding!

Sports Authority sells discs?

BC. Yeah if I had the choice I would have rather gone with the seond option. Well atleast the club can count on me buying some plastic from Chain Reaction. Need to restock before the tourney.... Hopefully hes out there early or I'm screwed :-)

Jim.... Laugh it up big boy :-)
