sweet! im gonna do my best to make this one
during the long tee round, will we use the concrete on hole #9, or the original(should be played) hole, over the lake?
Can we send in pre reg checks now or would you prefer if we wait a lil bit?

We'll have to evaluate the usability of the tee. In addition, I don't know if the long tee on hole 3 is playable but we will let you know.

Feel free to send em in! We are taking registrations immediately.
hole #3 from the long is not playable right now. but I know Stu is very good with a chainsaw, so that could and should be fixed and played.
also #9 across the lake is that courses signature hole. Rob should have never made that pro tee where he poured it(very bad hole)
just my 2 cents Nate! ;)

I was out there the other day - hole 3 seemed fine but we will NOT be playing hole 9 from the current long tee. Its a brutal hole. Where is the tee across the lake? Does it conflict with hole 8? If it doesn't conflict then we will use it. If it does conflict both rounds will be from the original.
Also, if I had it my way holes 11 and 12 will be from the original concrete both rounds. Johnnie will probably try to change my mind....
Hole #11 and #12 should be played from the longs. That's the challenge ;D
Hole # 9's long tee is about 20 to 30 feet to the left of #8's tee. Play 8 then walk back to the signature hole of McNaughton!
what is the problem with 11 and 12 to you Nate? Both of those holes are an easier 3 than hole #8 at Lincoln on Saturday, the 660 footer, or #3 the pond hole. They are called PRO Tees for a reason ;D Scott Martin designed the back 9 and his brother designed the front 9.
In my eyes, if your not playing all longs, then play 2 rounds from shorts. But it should be 1 shorts, 1 long. That is why it got it's nickname of McNasty!
anyone from up that way going to make it down for this event? always a fun time playing McNaughton the way it was meant to be played. 1 round shorts, 1 round longs in a sanctioned event! hope to see some of you guys.
We will be playing the longs - the last time I had looked at them they were pretty grown in (number 3) but a huge amount of work has been done on the course. We will be playing holes 11 and 12 from the longs as well, and we will be playing hole 9 over the water. Just thought I'd give that quick update!
when was the last time pDGA reg page was updated?

Sounds like a great event. I love McNaughton. However, I will have played 5 tournaments over the course of 4 consecutive weekends before this, so I think thats it for me this year after Round Lake.
understandable Dan. glad to see ya playing alot of events anyway. Had fun playing both rounds with ya in Springfield. your driving was on the money all day. good luck in your upcoming events.
if possible, maybe throw it out to some of the guys up that way that have never played McNaughton, that this event is worth the drive, and very fun to play(if they stay in the fairay) ;)
so is the pre reg on pDGA current?
I doubt the pre-reg list was current. It will be updated closer to the event date but I can say we definitely already had some pre-registrations. Hope to see you guys come down!

i know a few people who are considering coming down with me but are hesitant because it looks like no1 is signed up.
you have to remember, we never have events down this way that are sanctioned, so most people will treat this as they do the fundraisers once a month. they will show up the day of and register then. I'm almost positive there will be 20+ intermediate players and rec players. I would guess 12-18 advanced.
convince them to sign up. going to be a great event at probably still the most challenging course in Illinois.

We'll have at least 70 total players. We had 105 for my Ledgestone Tournament and with this being a sanctioned tournament we'll have at least 70. We have been promoting this tournament everywhere. I think we have over 15 signed up so far with at least 30 people that have said they are playing through email, facebook, etc.
we are hoping some Chicago players make the trip down. Like some of us Pekin boys who make most IOS events. ;)
Registrations are starting to roll in - don't forget to sign up for this bad bay! We are playing the awesome long tees for the Pros and Advanced.
www.ledgestonegrp.com to pre-register!
We will also have a raffle this Saturday - we will be giving away a ton of stuff! A few of the things that will be raffled include a basket, competition bag full of discs, a distance doctor, a $50 gift certificate to Coop Records, some free hotel nights, and more!
I'm sure more would sign up if they could see the pre reg list updated at pdga.com. people dont like to drive 3 hours to play in a division of 4 people. hell I wont like driving the 5 minutes for a 4 man tourny ;)

We are getting more registrations as we speak as well - we had about six people call or email us in the last few hours looking to sign up....paypal will close tomorrow so make sure to get this in! We are capping the field at 72 players and we expect to get a lot of registrations tonight and we have already gotten more registrations after this list.
Steve Slater said he expects to be here. That probably means Maggie will play as well?
67 and Sunny on Saturday for the tournament - make sure to get out there!
We have over 35+ committed and playing on Saturday with more registrations rolling in....this thing will fill! The weather is now supposed to be 70 degrees, sunny all day, with very little wind. We are capping the field at 72 and registration ends tonight! Sign up at www.ledgestonegrp.com or come on out on Saturday and get there early to sign up! We'll probably have a few walk up spots left!
oh, can't wait to see all the big numbers from the long tee round!! ;D
here is the weather forecast for tomorrow. should be a great day. hope to see some of you guys. No wind for the long tees should be interesting.
Tomorrow: Mainly sunny. High around 70F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph.
oh, and Kudos to Johnnie Harrison. he was at the course tonight painting lines, and trimming some branches for the long tees. If you see an X on a tee pad, we are not playing those.
I am so bummed I cannot make it down >:(
