Did you have some big trick-or-treating plans? Maybe you can play dress-up during your round so you don't feel like you're missing out.
If Bruce were running this, he'd put pumpkins out on the course. If you hit it with your disc while playing, you could carry it for the rest of the round and take it home. :-)
Seriously though, if I had the time, this looks like a good event.

best...post...EVER
They do jack-0-lanterns at the Ann Arbor tournament. But if I were running it, there would definately be something going on with pumpkin pie. We always gave away pumpkin pies at the Byron thing. ;D
how did I know that was dan's post . nice comment
Mine would have been more like
a 2 day tournament over Halloween weekend?
Well, I guess the Rocky Horror Picture Show must be in town.
I heard in the suburban cul da sack nation ( think naperville )
the adults follow the kids with coolers of beer in wagons
big party if you are in to that
southsiders > come to my house for miller killers ( 7 oz bottles ) and Lucky Stripes
and gary at new lenox used to run a T where you got credit for playing in costume ( day round then glow )
Can you have a sanctioned glow event? Have a round start at midnight. Maybe Rich Koz could make a guest appearance.
The PDGA will sanction glow. You have to get special X approval to sanction fishing bobber lights.

i take no insult to this. in my eyes you insulted yourself. being old and married takes the fun out of life ;) and doesn't allow you to enjoy the 'late night random fun'.

Being married is like being a fan of a pro sports team. It makes no logical sense. :)
I don't want to know about what random things you are doing in the middle of the night that you think are fun.
Yeah, if Diana were to leave me, I would not notice or care provided that some other woman was willing to wear the same clothes! ::)
[To Diana if she reads this: We're joking about something on another thread. JUST JOKING.]
I have two questions regarding this tournament. Will there be a Novice (MA4) division, and how can I preregister for the event?
All divisions will be offered. I set up the pre reg through pdga on monday. The pdga has been very slow this year processing things. I hope it is up by monday. When it goes up I will post it here and update daily. THanks
You could go local with your online pre reg, instead of using the PDGA (iRegisteredonline, paperorplastic, etc)....
Thanks for putting on the event, looking forward to it.
Pre reg is now up and running. I will post the link when I get to a computer but it is on pdga site now. @dana I will look into the two sites and see what there fees go towards. Thanks

Are there going to be any other options to register other than the PDGA sign-up? The $4.25 handling fee is a little steep. I would be happy to mail in my registration if that is available.
You can mail it. 2823 western ave park forest, il 60466
Is there anywhere to look at pre-reg? Trying to make a decision on this or madison saturday.
I was wondering if a current course map of Lockport-Trinity will be posted any time before the tournament. Since I haven't played there since the renovation, that would really help.
If you have played Trinity before, you won't need a map. It was mostly just tweeks here and there, not a major redesign.
I will have player handbooks for the event with holes and distances. I have highland and channy, but I need to go out to trinity and get the distances.
Maybe someone can at least tell me if any ladies are signed up or plan on playing?
Want to come to Chicago for the weekend and am about to sign up. She can play Int. or Adv. So if anyone knows of any ladies that plan on shooting please let me know.
there usuallly is a couple women that play but i have not heard of any yet.
Weather looks good for this weekend 50's and sunny. Registration is still going so get signed up. We will be capping the feild at 72 Ams. Dont miss out. Great players packs and payouts. Scores will be updated each night and turned in Monday morning following the tourney. We will be having a $50 funny money bounty for the person that shoots the hotest rated of the tourney in their division (for each division with ten or more players). Also, The top four Advanced players will be competing in a final nine playing for $25 skins of funny money for each hole, a total of $225. For any questions, post here and I will check daily and answer them. Thankyou

Well it said I signed up but I guess it dident go throught....
My pdga # is 50342 and I regesterred and I got nothing.. it sayed I was all set to go.. I did at like 7:15..
your payment goes to the pdga. The pdga then gathers them all up for the day and sends them to me around 11 pm. Once I get them from the pdga I post them on the website. Chances are if you got a message saying it went through you should see your name on the site late tonight or early tomorrow morning. Thank you
Hello. I'm not actually in the tournament, but I was going to visit someone who is. My problem, however, is that I can't seem to find any information on exactly where the courses are. I see the names Jolilet, Highland, Lockport, and Channahon thrown around, but I guess I'm not an avid enough disc golfer to naturally know where the courses are, in these areas. Thanks for any help guys! Also, sorry if they're listed somewhere obvious. I tend to overlook things at times.
Channahon is called Community Park in Channahon, IL
HIghland is called Pilcher Park in Joliet, IL
Lockport is called Trinity Links in Lockport, IL
You can find directions to the courses by going to pdga.com and clicking course directory and typing the course name.
Also, online registration is now closed and day of registration is the only method of signing up.
All Ams meet at channahon in the morning to check in and register.
Weather looks like it is going to be good, mid 50's and sunny, come out and toss.

Thanks to all the players that played this weekend. I think I may have learned my lesson about running a Halloween weekend tourney. The scores are up and turned in. See everyone in pine hills next weekend get signed up and support dana.
Thanks

I wonder if it's less a matter of "halloween weekend" than the fact that for some people it's hard to commit to a two-day tournament, particularly this late in the year. (I know that's the main reason I didn't play.)
Yes that is another good point. Next year the ams will be returning to one day.
I thought about playing but the 2 day event just didnt' work for me. I can't justify paying for a hotel and it would have been 6+ hours in the car. Wish I could have played.
