As some of you may know, you can not get on a golf course when there is frost on the ground.  So if we have a heavy frost, the tournament start time may be pushed back.

Thanks

Dana has put together a great layout at this location. The one thing that was tough for me the last time around was to warm up because of the cart. Not walking from hole to hole made it more difficult to warm up. A very fun event, and nice to have a bar on site with televisions.

Thanks, Tom.

I've been working hard on the tweaking the design.  Trying to improve with each layout.

I played a few rounds on Monday and wasn't happy with the layout.  Made some tweaks yesterday and think that it is playing better.

Yep, still playing it.

1. same
2 same
3 shorty through the row of pines
4 tee at the end of the row of pines, basket is located behind the golf green (par 5). This one can be 3'd with a huge couple of shots.
5 same par 6 (I missed a putt for 4 the other day!)
6 lengthened version of march
7 (basket still on stump) close to the same, little longer than march
8 tee is straight past 7s basket, 350ish downhill tunnel shot
9 not throwing from the golf tee, but in front of it and to the left.  basket is on backside of green.

10 same
11 same
12 same
13 same (basket behind golf green, in sand trap)
14 working on this one, looking like it will be a par 4.  may scale it back to a longer par 3.
15 new par 4
16 basket same spot as before, only its a par 3 probably 320ish
17 same
18 still working on this one....

Had a great time playing this on Monday!  Always a blast to play disc golf with using a golf cart!  I lost my orange xcaliber on hole 17.  I thought it made it over the water but I'm not sure.  Looked for it for a long time.  Should be to the left of the basket from the tee.  If it is found and turned in please give it to either Scott Franke or Mike Lara.  They are participating in the even saturday.  Thanks and I hope the tourney goes great!

I played a glow round after the tourney instead of uploading scores.  I'll get 2nd round scores up sometime tomorrow.

Good times.

PDGA payed and TD Report submitted.

Thanks again to everyone who came out.  Hope to get better and better with each event out here.  So if anyone has any ideas on a better way to run the carts out, speak up.

Also hoping to keep improving on the layout so speak up and let me know what you liked and disliked about the layout (fav hole/worst hole).  Did you miss any holes from the March or Glow layout?

Pine Hills is happy with disc golf and allowing the course to be set up through the winter.  I might have to set up some sorta dubs tourney.

Does this mean carts through the winter?

Thanks for getting the TD report in!!!
I didnt' get a chance to play the doubles but here is my rundown.
1. I like the pin position change to the deeper position.
2. I like hole #2
I like the changes to #3/4 much better than the spring event.
3.Nice variety of lines on this hole. Tricky little hole.
4. Great par 5.  I'd need to look around a little more to influence my opinion. Would moving the pin shorter towards the green and river make the hole  use both fairways more? I know most players seemed to play the wide right fairway. I like the hole as is either way.
5. Just awesome!
6. I liked the spring hole a little better. I don't dislike this hole and would like it a little better if there was a change to #7.
7. I like the spring hole better. I threw the hyzer route both rounds this fall. Personally I'd like to see 6 in the fall layout and 7 moved shorter with the splitting fairway.
8. I liked both holes. Either floats my boat.
9. Once again I liked both. So many options on this hole. You could move the pin each time and it'd be a cool hole.
10. Good hole. Don't change.
11. Another good par 3. I'd love to see the pin right on the edge of the hill.
12. Probably my least favorite hole on the course.  Not sure what else to do there tough.
13. Sweet hole!
14. I liked this par 4. I liked the one in the spring better with that water but I saw they were working on that area.
15. Solid par 4.
16. I'd like to play this when the wind isn't blowing so hard. I like the multiple routes.
17. SICK!!!!
18. I liked the spring hole better but there is nothing wrong with this finish.

Thanks for the input.

Didn't realize the (cheater) hyzer route was there on #7.  My bad.

I moved the basket around on #4 quite a bit and while I liked the hole, I agree that it is too easy playing out into the open. What I did like was that you could get aggressive and go for the eagle 3 (Mike Robinson got one).  I may move it shorter (between the green/sand and creek), which will in return make it a par 4.

I'd like to combine #7 and 8 and run an OB line along the outer right treeline.  I'm pretty sure that this is going to happen for the next tourney.  I think it'd be a pretty great par 5 (and it would make up for dropping #4 to a par 4.

Loved the tourney!  Thanks so much for all your work, Dana.
Carts - I thought your method was fine.  A little crowded, but real good if you didn't know everyone else on your card.  The only other way I'd do it, would be to put two keys with the card and if the card is turned in without the keys, then it isn't "official".  Or you could forget it all, like me! ::)
Holes - I liked them all, a really good mix.  How is #4 if it's farther left and just past the bunker?  If you combined #'s 7 & 8 with the OB line, I'd still probably go hyzer.  It'd avoid the possibilty of flexing out into the woods, but I'd have to see it.
Looking forward to Spring and the next one.  This is a definite "don't miss" on my calendar.
