Go play it!
I need a ride, willing to split gas and hotel.
For the avid campers..
There's a campground at the Illinois State Fair which is across the street from Lincoln Park.
There's also a campground at Riverside Park which is about 5? Miles from lincoln park. Between sherman, il and springfieldnon rt 4.
Not sure if it opens last wknd April but you can check if you want.
Will the north course have concrete tees by tourney time? How about #14 & #15 on the south course?
Just to remind everyone....this is a Ledgestone Series event! Should be awesome with a massive players pack!
Tournament specifics will be up on all forums very soon. This event will be 2 days but Saturday will be all day in Springfield playing the North and South courses of Lincoln Park. Lincoln North should have teepads by then. The second day is a 1 round, 27 hole staggered start at Nelson Park in Decatur. Temp holes will have the baskets from Pine Hills and Fly Pads and/or throwing from old golf cart paths. No natural teepads!

Decatur is a fun course for those of you who have not played it!
I would love everyone to pre register. But I know that will not happen. But if you do by this Wednesday you are guaranteed a dry fit shirt! After this Wednesday we will work our hardest to get you one if you sign up but there isn't a guarantee. Next Wednesday night, April 25th, is the cut-off for pre registration. We will have day of registration as well but the players package will not be as sweet.

@Brett - I have tried for the last year to get registered at the St. Louis Forums. Is there a way for someone to post the topic/tournament there on their forums?
PDGA has been updated as well - there are now 47 people registered and more and more are coming in every day. We expect this event to fill up and there will be more than 100 players here. Remember that you get double the points for the Ledgestone Insurance Series.
Also, we are happy to announce that we will be raffling off a Gateway Bullseye Basket and an Innova Basket. There will be a huge raffle, great players pack, great courses, HUGE payout, great food, and more. Get signed up!

I have not been on the STL board in a while. I'll see what I can do when I get home. I noticed quite a few states are represented but none from MO yet.
I sent registration fee via paypal yesterday and am not seeing my name in the Intermediate field. Could somebody please double check that my payment was received? Thanks!

Sayer,
You are good man! Thanks for registering. My internet at home is hopefully being fixed by a technician this evening. I have been going to Starbucks nightly to get registrations up to date. So, you will be on the pdga page later tonight.
We have almost 60 registered players now! Get signed up if you haven't already.
I posted on the STL message board. I'd suggest having someone pass out fliers at the Alton event this Saturday.
Thanks for the update! Kudos on going to Starbucks to update every night, that is serious dedication and I know many, including myself appreciate that. I am really looking forward to this event!
By chance I ran across the USADGC site and saw this is a qualifying event. I would start advertising that.

I haven't played Decatur, but I have played Lincoln. Lincoln is a great course. It is in a beautiful, well maintained park and has some very challenging holes, including a very nice water hole. The Springfield Disc Golf Club has done a great job with this course.
Decatur is on a old ball golf course Tom. alot of wide open shots, and rolling hills, but several 2's as well. He is talking about a par 6, so I dont know what the temp holes will look like. I really like the tee times on Sunday. how an A-Tier should be done.
Decatur's course will get better with time. It is fun right now but I think with time and some tweaking it will be a gem. The best thing about the course is the elevation. It is not typical central Illinois terrain. There is endless opportunities in this park for disc golf but unfortunately the park district gave us a pretty small portion to use because they have bigger plans for the rest of the park. But, since that is several years down the road I take advantage as much as I can of other parts of the park. There is potential to make par 5's and 6's but as of right now the worst you will see is a few rolling par 4's and a downhill par 4. As much as I want to put a par 5 or 6 in the tournament, if I cant make a good one, I am not going to put one in just to put one in.
BTW... Lincoln North will have a set of teepads for every hole!!!
Worst case... you may play a few natural teepads on the temp area in Decatur... but a lot of them will be on cart paths or fly pads.
Get signed up if you haven't already - we are over 70 players and counting! Weather looks great!
ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES AT 11:59PM Wednesday night!!! Get registered so I have a good idea on how much food we will need.
Over 80 registered players now - weather looks like it will be fine so come on out and get a piece of this monster players pack. Top 20% of advanced field qualifies for AM Nats and this event counts double towards the Ledgestone Insurance Series! Day of registration is available but get there early.
All right you Northern IL Boyz. Pack the car and head down there. Should be a great event. Good luck to all those attending!!!

Rain is out of the forecast - we expect to have over 100 players and this event may fill. We have players packs available still so get down early tomorrow morning to pre-register. If you are planning on pre-registering tomorrow morning shoot myself (nate@ledgestonegrp.com) or Noah (Noahcomm@yahoo.com) an email. Monster players pack and monster payout!
Just curious if the TD report will be submitted by the 6/19 deadline to be included in the next update?
thanks in advance!
I'm not 100% sure, but I did just ask yesterday if the league stats that ended on 5-24 would be submitted by the deadline, and they said submitted on Monday. So I would think they also got the 4-28,4-29 tourny submitted as well??
