I know I have allowed casuals to play on the course during tournaments in the past, But, this is a (AM) B Tier, so yes, I will close the course for non-tournament play.

Title: Huge Players Pack!
Post by: acesandchains on February 29, 2012, 07:29:42 AM
I have decided on the players pack for First Flight:

Pre-register ($25 total value):

T-shirt
Poster
Birdie Bag
Microfiber Towel
*Stickers (if I can get them done in time.)

Walk-ups ($15 value):

Poster
Birdie Bag
2 Microfiber Towels
$5 Aces and Chains Card
*Stickers (if I can get them done in time.)

If you pre-register by March 7th, you can reserve your shirt size. Pre-registrants after March 7th will not be guaranteed to get the correct shirt size (though I will try my best to accomodate everyone.)

This is my first time trying to support such a large players pack. I'm trying to add value to my tournaments, especially for pre-registered players, as that makes our job so much easier. So please, consider pre-registering, and get yourself a T-shirt for your troubles!

I'm very proud to officially announce that AAA is sponsoring this year's First Flight tournament - making it a full B-Tier!

Rufus Cathey of AAA was able to get this sponsorship for us. Please keep him in mind for your next insurance quote. (I'll have his info available at the tournament.)

AAA stepped up to support the sport. Let's show them the love and support they deserve!

Over 40 players pre-registered already. By far the most I've had for any tournament with 5 days to go. I do believe this one is going to fill.

Only two Pros signed up so far! ($500 added to the pro pot - it's a B-tier)

Plus, Ams get a t-shirt for pre-registering. Don't wait too long.

All White tees both days.

OB as follows:

All streets (not including the curbs). Surrounded by water in the creek by hole 12 (very little water there now. If you succeed in getting surrounded by water, you are OB.)

No two meter rule

1.) OB behind the basket. Line is marked with flags and yellow twine.
3.) Must throw over the street to be inbounds. The street and everything on the tee side are OB. A drop zone will be provided.
9.) On or over the street to the right is OB
12.) Street, concrete pad, and surrounded by water in the creek are all OB
17.) On or over the street to the right, and around behind the hole is OB.

There are a few other minor area of OB that most players will be unlikely to hit. Those will be covered at the players meeting or on the handout.

Parking Lot on nine?

Yes, thank you. Parking lot on 9 is also OB.

Jon and I are going out today to mark 9 & 17 with yellow twine and flags. This is the first time we've tried this. If it works well, I may use that method on certain courses going forward.

See you this weekend...
