What is with PDGA tournaments that think they can run the MA4 division as a non-sanctioned division?

The more honest way to do this is the typical Wisconsin model-- there is no Novice Division. I have no problem with that. Rec. is the lowest rated dvision. The non-sanctioned Novice model is just silly.
Since it is a temp course, it sounds like a way to get joe local to come out and look at disc golf rather than
running something non sactioned at the same time.
This is at lunch, kinda of an intro to disc golf looksee.
There was $ 1000 put up from the city council , according to the minutes if you google metropolis disc golf
so there s his 'Nut " money so to speak.
.
pre reg just clipped 50.
wondering if there is map of temp course or when its going to be marked
email sent , awaiting work back
seems as though the guy running the event is legit/experienced
I played novice in Indiana once and it was only a morning round, heres your prize , get off the course.
should be interesting
hb is the TD for BG AMs and a course designer. He has been around a long time.
i was told that once at inner grove hts
(long time ago )
and watched a whole division drive up then get time to practice pushing
start back 1 1/2 hrs
i think i got back to where i was staying north of st paul at 9 pm
---
I tend to be overly casual with expectations and flexible as
people running it are doing a thankless job
I have no idea what the course looks like, but I think
no one else does either
I wish I had a plane and I'd play this event.
Scores up , got 13 in funny money ,paid out 50% rec , free water , met the mayor, the map is on my face book , ill post here.
Map .
