That would be cool.
I saw someone posted on DGCR
It'd be nice if they added Valpo to the event this time.

Agreed.
it is official, and they are going to be using Valpo's course as well!
face book has the news as well. I just posted all my 2010 pics, vids still in process.
Just curious, why the same place within three years? was it that well run last time?
The PDGA really likes the idea of having all of the action at one place. Also, the PDGA will be running everything. I heard that they are thinking of running worlds at Lemon every year.
5 courses in 1 park would be my guess. where else can they host it to where there is no driving from course to course?
Lemon Lake is a perfect place to host a World Championship week long tournament!

I could see hosting Worlds at a place like Lemon every other year. I don't know why you'd eliminate future disc golf meccas like Des Moines, Charlotte, Kansas City, and Minneapolis from hosting a combined Pro/Am Worlds. Those are probably the best events the PDGA has, and certainly the best attended.
I understand why they'd want to run it at Lemon when they have no other viable alternative. They don't need as many volunteers/workers and travel expenses are negated. Its just easier and cheaper to do it there. There isn't much motivation for local TD's to run a Pro Worlds. Am Worlds is where the $ is at.
I am also a fan of hosting Pro and AM worlds together. It makes traveling easier along with being able to watch the pros play their rounds
I for one like traveling to new areas. I'm actually a little disappointed that it's back at Lemon Lake this year. Not a dig by any means on the Red Roc crew or that area, I just like going new places.

I'm in the same boat Taylor.
It's also in the middle region of the country, similar to how many final fours held in Indy for college basketball.
I heard a rumor today that there is a possibility some of the older divisions and women might play the new Hidden Lake course. If that's the case I have no idea why Valpo wouldn't be used.
