I was wondering if anyone could give me some info about their various discs. For example the XS and XL are both Extra Long Range Drivers with Stability Ratings of 1, so what's the difference? Also as far as plastic goes I know the Z plastic is more durable, but I heard the X plastic flies farther? If any disc expert out there could enlighten me, I would be forever grateful.
I am not an expert on Discraft discs, but the Z plastic is more durable and more overstable than the regular plastic counterparts. The X versions are supposed to be slightly more overstable and durable than the Z.
The XL has generally been slightly more overstable than the XS, but they are very similar. The XS held the world distance record for a while (now a regular Valkyrie took the cake).
XS flies faster and glides longer. When XS came out they said it was a XL on speed.
Okay could you perhaps run down some of the other disks they produce and their flight characteristics I would appreciate it.
I'm Jon's brother btw.
The XS likes to fly on a hyzer line and gets good coast at the end. The XL flies farther on a straight line. The Z plastic is well worth the extra money and everything people say about Z being slippy is 90% sour grapes spread by Innova because they can't overcome their candy plastic production problems.
The Talon and Wildcat will be hot discs when more players get their hands on them also.
Now, let's see if I got my nose in the right place...
